THIS REALLY SUCKS. WHAT'S NEXT?? Judgment day. As goes Terri, so goes the nation.
To: MonroeDNA
Do you also condone Shiavo's denying a priest to give Terri last rites?

Florida does not recognize common law marriage.

"According to her legal guardian it was her choice."
Her pseudo legal guardian is a fake, a fraud, a phony and a lier. And, soon to be a murderer.

Something needs to be done about the 9 republicans in the Florida senate who apparently left the fold. Anyway, Republicans will win on this issue only as long as they actually do something.

Every single one of you that want her to die is a disgusting NAZI. Do you understand that? No written, notarized statement exists. In a land where reasonable doubt is applied to a mass murderer, a mentally disabled, not dead, woman is not afforded any of the same rights, when it is clear there is massive doubt on many parties including doctors, attorneys, and her own family, she should be allowed to live and recuperate with the best care possible.
Once you die, its OVER. THERE IS DOUBT DAMMIT. LOTS OF IT

Would you do this to your mom? Yes or no? If my mom or my wife or my daughter was living as you describe, no I wouldn't.
What you need to do is view the videos her mother shot (oh, but she disobey the judges orders):
Schiavo Videos
She's not in a coma, breathes on her own, recognizes and responds to the presence of her parents and, most improtantly has been denied any therapy for thepast 12 years - therapy that many doctors and speech therapists say would help her condition greatly
Come back when you've done your homework.

The fallacy of that entire argument ("Terri told me...") is that, in a criminal case, Greer would rule that second-hand testimony is hearsay and not admissible in court. Excellent point. These are the types of points that I wish the media would drive home!

"and maybe a state judge or a governor can defy a branch of the federal government" Perhaps my logic is flawed and Congress isn't the SCOTUS but the situation reminds me of a supreme justice issuing a stay of execution.
Maybe that's what's called for, a stay of execution because I don't think it can be called anything else.

Why don´t you guys have thought about these cases before? Because up till now the quaint Bible rule of thou shalt not kill (unless it was in writing that this was you wish or you were as of yet unborn) was the law of the land.
