That I agree with, but I only know they they are in the process of appealing it right now. Personally, I think it is time to take Gree down from the bench and Bush needs to do it today!

Everything I have ever read over the years states that he claims she would not want to live this way.

If he's son darned concerned about her "quality of life" why has he denied her the therapy that would improve it for 15 years?

Yes they would. That's the beauty of issuing the subpoenas rather than enacting some post hoc legislation that would be struck down by the courts. Greer is now in contempt of congress as is any doctor who removes the tube.

Thanks, bigeasy; what about the question of it being a State matter and that the Feds have "no jurisdiction"?????? as I'm sure that's exactly what Greer is claiming.

Would you do this to your mom? Yes or no?

I have a horrible relationship with my mother, she could not stand me from the moment I was born. I would not even deny her food.

Can Bush pardon her like a death row inmate, or something along those lines?

Better - what if the fetus is going to be blind, deaf, mute, and with a congenital heart defect?

No one has the right to decide for someone else that their life is not worth living.

The courts are now flexing and just asking to prove who really runs our laws and this Nation.

It is far from coming to that point. The people aren't going to hit the streets with torches and pitchforks any time soon.

This case could unintentionally bring the battle between Congress and King Court to a head at last.

God works in mysterious ways and ALL life has its purpose, so perhaps the tribulation Terri and her family are experiencing is part of that greater purpose. To say that these struggles could change the entire Nation for better, may seem a stretch to some, but I believe it is so.

It would be wonderful indeed if we could reverse the "Culture of Death" that permeates this country.

...there is nothing in it for Michael.

Except one heckuva way to get back at his wife and her family family....

As I said, a horrible situation. I don´t know exactly, is Terri brain dead or not? That is decisive, since the brain death is the actual death and this is important whether she COULD feel that she dies of hunger.

Feeding tubes have been in existence since the late 1800's! This is not a new technology!

Right to Die is easy to convert into Duty to Die.

Yep. Ask the elderly Dutch, who fear going into a hospital for any reason, lest the night shift doctor determine others may better use Granny's in-demand bed.
