Greer gives order
A society and a so called justice system , that will not allow a criminal under sentence of death to suffer, imposes a horrific slow painful death upon a lady who doesn't seem to have as many rights to survival and protection as a poodle does........:o(
damn.......
"There is no evidence that she said that." Judge Greer (hypothetical)
In March of 1857, the United States Supreme Court, led by Chief Justice Roger B. Taney, declared that all blacks -- slaves as well as free -- were not and could never become citizens of the United States. The court also declared the 1820 Missouri Compromise unconstitutional, thus permiting slavery in all of the country's territories....Taney -- a staunch supporter of slavery and intent on protecting southerners from northern aggression -- wrote in the Court's majority opinion that, because Scott was black, he was not a citizen and therefore had no right to sue

This is no longer about Terry. This is about Judge Greer vs Congress. At least in his eyes. Black Robe Fever at its finest.
How about these two words - Rosa Parks
That was a respirator. They found she could breathe on her own. This is food and water. She can't produce her own nourishment without it. She'll have a week or two..
Not my comment, friend. I'm in agreement with you.
Yep, she proved she didn't need a respirator.
But it's hard to go on living without food or water.
This is murder...not mercy.
When an injustice of this magnitude is being done in the name of the law, the law is wrong and must not be followed.
To allow a person to be killed because they are disabled is immoral. Not being able to recover from a disability does not make it right to kill a person. Terri is most definitely not brain dead. I realize it gives you a great deal of comfort regarding your position to believe otherwise.
How can Greer override this other judge? WTF kind of circus is going on down there?
TROLL!!!
I would think so, but who knows any more?
There are many mixed-up would be lawyers out here today. The U.S. Constitution is the Supreme Law of the land, however, this is not a Constitutional issue.
The dispute here arises from state law, and does not implicate Federal law. That, I assume, is why the Judge ruled that Congressional subpoenas were worthless.
Now -- if Congress passes a law that would grant to all the presumption of extraordinary measures in the absense of a specific medical directive, then we would have a Federal law and Federal issue.
To my knowledge, there is no Federal issue hear -- and therefor ethe Feds are without Jurisdiction.
Congress is hosed, because it would need to pass a bill, get the Senate to pass it, and get the President to sign it to make this a Federal issue. That is not going to happen.
Best and only bet here is similar bill by Florida Legislature. But I assume that ship has sailed too.
So, you've seen the video of the doctor calling to her to open her eyes...and Terri opens them?
You've seen the happy look she gets when her mother comes in the room. I guess that is brain dead, huh?
EVERYONE WHO HAS WORKED WITH THESE TYPES OF PATIENTS AND HAS SEEN THE VIDEO KNOWS SHE HAS COGNITIVE FUNCTION AND IS NOT PVS.
I would encourage all to ingore the trolls. If we feed them they will stay, if we don't they will go.
"I think that Congress can shop around and find a sympathetic federal judge in the next few hours. That's my prediction.
Previously, federal courts refused to interfere in this case, because no federal issues were at hand.
"
As far as I can see, there still are no federal issues. Depends on the federal judge, I suppose...
Floridians, who are able to, need to get down there now! This is an outrage!
This has been my feeling all along. We have had black robes dictating social norms for 30 years (abortion, gay marriage) and its time to finally draw the line.
