Speedy is quite right; Congress can issue a subpoena without any coordination or consultation with a judge at any level.
I just recieved a message from one of my CO Congressmen, Ken Salazar (D), that he supported last nights measure. I'm sure the other, Wayne Allard (R), did as well.
Salazar may be a Dem, but he has gained new respect from me.
Says you and what medical team?
Ah, I see. My facts are rubbish, your facts are golden. That shows how unbiased you are....not.
The real circus, in my opinion, are the death trolls like you who insist on doing whatever they can to derail efforts to keep an innocent woman alive.
You don't think in 15 freaking years they've done every single test known to man? There was a malpractice suit, for God's sake. That woman has probably gone through more testing than anyone ever deserves to.
Who says she is doing all of these things... Please...
Precisely. This country already kills babies who are 'inconvenient.' Now many are advocating killing adults who are.
If these heroic measures to save Terri fail, this country will have fallen farther away from it's founding principles of morality and life, and we will be in great danger of losing more than just this one precious life.....
Praise the Lord for the intervention of those who know the truth!
This is not a factual statement.
How would you feel about hooking her up to some neuro device and asking her?
This is what the press is saying... If she is not flatline and she is indeed in a coma... then she should recieve therapy... But if she was really in a coma, don't you think the doctors would have prescribed therapy years ago...?
But yours aren't facts! Speculation at best...and that's pushing it. You asked me for facts. I gave you pages of them. You gave me NOTHING.
A fundamental difference: Some people try to be optimistic. They hope-against-hope. Other people tend to be skeptical. They give up. Sure, being positive can appear foolish sometimes. People like Columbus, George Washington, Doolittle, MacArthur, Lincoln, Ghandi, and Daniel. Some positive people fail completely. But there's one thing that unites us, we give it the old, college try.
Helo McFly, her husband won't allow therapy and he has the last word!
You know what bothers me? The fact that some day I might find myself in this very situation and a group of people I don't even know will decide what's best for me and demand that legislatures write up new laws to cover what THEY think is correct in each and every situation.
A little more than an hour to go.
Will MSNBC have the countdown clock?
you and your pro-murder friends need to post your own sick little cheerleading thread so you can go and make yourselves feel big and smug for being so intellectually superior to those who favor life.
"The case of Terri Schiavo raises complex issues," Bush stated. "Yet in instances like this one, where there are serious questions and substantial doubts, our society, our laws, and our courts should have a presumption in favor of life. Those who live at the mercy of others deserve our special care and concern. It should be our goal as a nation to build a culture of life, where all Americans are valued, welcomed, and protected - and that culture of life must extend to individuals with disabilities."
