If she was 'brain-dead', she would have been dead-dead a long time ago. A dead brain is necrotic tissue. By definition, someone who can breathe and is not on a respirator canNOT be 'brain-dead'--with the possible exception of some 'journalists' and 'news readers'.

Noory is still talking about Terri. He didn't hear about the good news until just a few minutes ago. He's taking calls from listeners about Terri now.

Kate Adamson and her husband (who hadn't heard the news either) briefly told their story, then urged people to call their pols.

Here's info about Kate: http://www.katesjourney.com/

One point in this whole drama is that those who want to kill Terri are falsely usurping the position of God. He is the one who gets to time the birth and death of everyone. Except in cases of capital punishment, which is completely authorized in the Bible and every scripture of the world, people are forbidden to kill other people.

It's part of God's job description to decide who should live and who should die. Living wills are about being kept alive "artifically" or extraordinary unnatural methods. Feeding tubes aren't in that category.

Is that pic really of Terry Schiavo "hearing the news"??
For many months the only footage any of us have seen courtesy of various MS and non- MS Media are a variety of pix showing her with eyes open, responsive to visitors, a smile on her face, but frankly, I have assumed all this time that she is in a vegetative state, or in a coma, kept alive ONLY by breathing tubes, and has been in that state for YEARS. Karen Ann Quinlan was kept alive that way for years, and by the time she was allowed to die, she was a virtual corpse, shrivelled up to half her normal size, and could NEVER have been rehabilitated to any form of ambulatory or even bedridden, invalid "life". No one was ever shown REAL pix of Karen Ann as she slowly wasted away,
only pix of her healthy, and much younger.
Are all of you SURE that Terry Schiavo could have a life someday IF ONLY she didn't have her breathing tubes removed?
Is all the emotion swirling around this story mainly a matter of the belief that her husband is a bad guy, and wanting to spite this bad guy, who may in fact have been the responsible party who put her in that condition? If her husband did something criminal to her, then let's prosecute or indict HIM. But somehow I think her condition is much worse and closer to terminal that lots of people who have taken this story to their hearts want to believe.
Correct, or flame me, if I'm wrong. Admittedly, I am not an expert on this story which it seems like we've been reading about for YEARS.

We Await, with Faith, the Rescue of Your Dear Child!

So she can be attached to a tube, totally incapacitated, for the rest of her "life", while the assets of taxpayers are drained to keep happy those who aren't suffering.

God's going to get pretty pissed off if man keeps delaying the inevitable for his own selfish reasons.

Fox News crawler just said that Frist has announced that the Senate's Easter break may/will be postponed until next week to give them more time to consider legislation to help Terri. Anyone know more about that?

But I feel as though I'd drunk about three cups of strong coffee. I just want Terri out of that blasted "hospice" and out of her vile so-called husband's control.

(Bleeping) a**hole. Words can't describe the vileness of that subhuman.

I feel pretty confident that Terri is still in the Woodside Hospice. We have FReepers on the scene.

I am so glad that there are those Freepers that can be there first hand and keep us informed.!! I started out for bed a hour ago and when I heard this latest news, and I cannot leave the computer now!! I think we are all sleep deprived right now just wondering what is happening in the Hospice.KEEP US ALL INFORMED!!!

Well said. If she's "responsive" as some have claimed, let's see the damn videotapes, dated within the last month or two. I'm also tired of the ancient photos of a gaping, unaware "smile" being foisted off as some kind of proof.

Michael Schiavo attacks legislators 'Nightline' interview

Dunedin, Florida - The husband of brain-damaged Terri Schiavo attacked Florida legislators today, saying they were pandering to voters by trying to pass a bill that could prevent the removal of her feeding tube.

Michael Schiavo says Governor Jeb Bush and legislators stepped into his personal life and used the case to win votes.

"Are all of you SURE that Terry Schiavo could have a life someday IF ONLY she didn't have her breathing tubes removed?"

Terri doesn't need breathing assistance.

She is not on a "breathing tube"

She is fed by a tube. What they want to do is starve her to death. You do that to a puppy and they put you in jail.

Terry does NOT need breathing tubes. She is breathing on her own. All her organs are functioning without articifial intervention.

She only needs feeding and hydrating tube to give her food and water.

She is NOT on "life support".

You know, I had looked at different times, but I had never seen anything on her case on his site. Well, it's good that he has had stories about her.

If true, that's the dumbest damn idea I've seen out of those parasites since they decided they wanted to rule baseball.

We're on the verge of a massive economic catastrophe due to their profligate spending and support of fraudulent Ponzi schemes, but apparently their time should be taken up with this crap.

Let the poor woman go, already.
