TERRI SCHIAVO IS BEING STARVED INTENTIONALLY IN A CASE FROUGHT WITH SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES AND BY A JUDGE WHO HAS NEVER EVEN SEEN HER IN 10 YEARS OF COURT OWNERSHIP OF THIS CASE--- NEVER!!!
Can you believe that any prudent and fair judge would purposely avoid seeing the subject of so many contradictory reports in person? Ever??
By the way, this judge is legally blind -- everything has to be read to him in the court, and he has made gross errors in judgement because he misread numbers, etc. and rendered inappropriate sentences.
Both the House and Senate have passed bills that would give Terri's parents the ability to bring before a federal court their claims that their daughter's starvation violates her federal constitutional and statutory rights.
Unfortunately, the bills have significant differences in content. I urge you to do whatever is necessary to resolve the differences between the two chambers and get a bill that will save Terri to the President's desk before it is too late.
I URGE YOU TO ERR ON THE SIDE OF LIFE -- LIFE ... LIFE!!! A convicted killer or a dog wouldn't be legally allowed to be starved to death in America.
Sen. Obama, I'm paying particular attention to your actions in this case. I'm new to this area, and have watched the attention you've received. You are being looked to as a future great leader. Show us .. shows us your regard for the sanctity of life and integrity. You can't be a good Christian, no matter what you profess, if don't follow the most sacred precepts of our Lord -- "What you have done for the least of my children, you have done for Me."
Terri is NOT in a coma, NOT hooked up to machines. SHE IS CONSCIOUS, AND WILL FEEL THIS TORTURE JUST AS YOU AND I WOULD, IF WE WERE DENIED FOOD.
In the name of all that is American and the mantle of protection to which all her citizens are entitled, I PLEAD WITH YOU TO NOT OBSTRUCT THE ACTIONS IN PROCESS IN THE SENATE AND HOUSE TO ALLOW FEDERAL PROTECTION OF HER CIVIL RIGHTS.

Imagine your child or grandchild was stricken with a medical crisis that rendered them conscious but unable to communicate. Could you tell the doctors to let them starve to death without giving them every chance at therapy, etc. to help them?
This is what has happened to Terri. Her "guardian" has denied her the rehab and therapy that he promised when he sued for medical malpractice and won a substantial award for that purpose.
LOOK INTO THE FACTS -- PUT YOUR PARTISANSHIP ASIDE -- DO THE RIGHT THING. YOUR CONSTITUENTS ARE WATCHING YOU!!

It's from the "Impeach Greer" petition, a comment left by one of the signers to the petition. It speaks volumes about the double standard Greer uses with Terri.
I AM THE MOTHER OF A SEVERELY HANDICAPPED 18 YEAR OLD YOUNG WOMAN WHOSE GUARDIANSHIP CASE IS OVERSEEN BY GREER. I AM REQUIRED BY LAW TO FILE AN ANNUAL GUARDIANSHIP PLAN TO GREER TO ESTABLISH PROPER CARE OF MY DAUGHTER WHICH INCLUDES WHAT STEPS I AM TAKING TO IMPROVE HER CONDITION BOTH PHYSICALLY AND MENTALLY.
I FIND IT AN EXTREME ABUSE OF HIS JUDICIAL POWERS THAT HE IS NOT ENFORCING THE LAWS PERTAINING TO GUARDIANSHIPS. I HAVE BEEN BEFORE GREER IN A HEARING AND I WAS TOLD TO BRING MY DAUGHTER TO THE HEARING SO HE COULD SEE HER AND BETTER RULE ON HER INCAPACITIES.
WHY HASN'T HE BEEN TO SEE TERRI SCHIAVO OR HAD HER BROUGHT TO THE COURT?
I AM NOT A DOCTOR BUT I DO WORK IN THE MEDICAL FIELD AND I CAN TELL BY SIMPLY LOOKING AT THE NEWS VIDEOS THAT THIS WOMAN IS NOT IN A VEGETATIVE STATE.
I IMPLORE YOU TO SAVE THIS WOMAN'S LIFE FOR HER SAKE AND THE LIVES OF ALL WHO WILL COME AFTER HER. NONE OF US ARE IN A POSITION TO DETERMINE WHICH OF US IS WORTHY TO LIVE. WE CANNOT SET THIS PRECEDENT
