If it helps at all, Court TV said that the DA in this case was one of the best. She presented an excellent case, the jury deliberated for 5 days and found him not guilty.

They never connected the murder weapon to him. His handgun that he went back to the restaurant for was not the murder weapon. Gun shot residue experts said there was no residue on his hands to prove that he fired a gun that night.

Speaking of Scott Peterson, I must admit I am not following this case closely, but, I understand that there was no eye witness or uncontroversial solid evidence, or confession that he committed the crime. To this end, I am unable to understand how 1)he was found guilty, and 2)he was sentenced to death rather than life in prison.

My gut feeling is impression by the public, and partiality towards punishing a guy who had an affair clouds the reality of what took place. A woman ran over her husband with her car BECAUSE he had an affair was treated like a hero by our media. It is obvious that the vindictive hate of our culture for men who have affairs is on equal footing with Nazis.
