Getting past the odd innuendo of Massachusetts Democrat Ed Markeys press release accusing the GOP of trying to ram ANWR into law through backdoor maneuvers, we find his opposition comes straight from above:
The American people believe there should be some places on this earth left the way the Almighty made them in the first place. When we finally meet our Maker, we are not going to be asked our position on evolution or the Big Bang. We are going to be asked about what we did to protect the resources we were given. The Congress still has time to pull back from this folly, and we must do everything we can to see that it does.
Meanwhile, the attempt to strike ANWR from budget legislation failed today, 49-51.
Yup,,,,,,, HYPOCRISY at it's finest.
Ain't that the truth.
It already is law. When ANWAR was established, the area that we are trying to drill today was specifically set aside FOR DRILLING!
With the exception of Coleman...the usual RINO suspects.
The Demo Rat Jackasses and RINO's should "logically" oppose drilling in other environmentally "sensitive" places, such as Saudi Arabia, Iran, Iraq, Siberia, Venezuela, Mexico, etc. Turn off the lights!
Or maybe they just want to undermine this country, by keeping us perpetually dependent on foreign oil. In addition to ANWR exploration, we should be building new nuclear power plants all over the U.S.
I think we are going to have to add Coleman to the permanent list of RINOs---
I just get the feeling that he is way to squishy!
Maybe if they spent a little time in a real church, or even read their Bible, they might know how offensive this comment is.
Dems, listen carefully. When we meet God we'll be asked if we accepted his Son, Jesus Christ. I know that name sends some of you screaming in the other direction, but there is the truth.
STOP USING GOD AS A POLITICAL PROP!! It is offensive to Christians on all sides of the spectrum that take their faith seriously.
Thank you! Dead on!
Forward this to the Dems that seem to have missed this central teaching of Christianity in all their trips to churches during campaign season.
Funny how they presume to try to speculate about God's opinion on SUV's to inform public policy but never worry about what God thinks of their public policy as it applies to Abortion?
Good start! Your post touches on, but doesn't directly nail the fact that his premise, the whole statement is unBiblical. Just another Big Lie.
God indeed does care about our beliefs and actions about evolution and the Big Bang. Otherwise it becomes normal to deny God Himself... stewardship of our resources is surely secondary....
Nail-on-the-head ping!
As always, the left sees G-d as a political tool to be used as needed. Even Satan can quote the bible when it suits him.
