No, I'm big on patriotism, hard work and ending wasteful/inefficient government programs. But the devil is, as always, in the details...so, I think while most folks agree on broad themes, it's how we get there that makes for disagreements.
But, insofar as you all have been so welcoming, and I am something of a guest here, I'm certainly not going to try to lob grenades. I will tread as lightly as I possibly can, and try to seek out areas of common agreement.
Everyone screaming at each other will accomplish nothing.

Pretty much what FR is about is, "how do we get there from here?" And you will find as many opinions on that as there are posters here.

Now here is the clincher- How do you feel about universal health care? (Otherwise known as socialized -or socialist - medicine) If you like it then I urge you to go look at every place it is in practice right now (U.K. and Canada) and see how it has ruined their health care system.
There is no better way to make something cost WAY TOO MUCH than to make it FREE. It is simple- if you stood on the corner giving away $100 bills, how many people would line up for it? But if you make them do some work for it.. then what?
