Well I drive from Houston to Lubbock quite often - a 10 hour drive so I'm fairly aware of the vast amounts of "untouched" land even in this State - the frozen tundra isn't even inhabitable in some areas - liberals would complain about clean air if we were for it -
And something else you may or may not be aware of: the six animals Comrade Kerry mentioned rarely if ever migrate far enough north to actually enter the ANWR. Almost all of those 19 million acres are so lifeless and desolate that it could make the moon look like Bermuda. Most of the pictures you see of caribou grazing, polar bears eating, and snow geese doing various snow goose things, are actually taken in state-owned reserves far to the south of the ANWR.
Now, if it had been ketchup below all that ice, maybe John would be singing a different tune...
