EX-CONS ON PARADE

Wanna see ex-cons in action? Surf through this discussion
thread on the Free Republic network and marvel at so-called
conservatives extolling the virtues of gun control and seat
belt laws. For example, "Aussie Dasher" writes, "(S)eat
belts in cars save lives. I'm pro-life. I support seat
belts." Huh? Sad. Really sad.

I hope he never hits a tree at speed. At least he'll then know he's wrong - albeit for a split second.

I fail to see how enshrining safety features in law undermines freedom. If it does, it's a pretty shaky freedom to begin with.

Compulsory seatbelts have not destroyed democracy in Australia. I doubt democracy in the US is any less robust.
