CNN tanking as Fox News surges Double-digit declines reported for Larry King, Wolf Blitzer
The ratings are in for February, and the numbers are not good for CNN which saw steep losses in its viewership, while the Fox News Channel continued its rise.
According to Nielsen Media Research, CNN's ratings fell by 21 percent last month in primetime, and 16 percent overal reports Variety. Primetime big-name shows such as "Larry King Live," "Wolf Blitzer Reports," "Lou Dobbs Tonight," "Paula Zahn Now" and "Newsnight With Aaron Brown" all experienced double-digit declines.
Only "Anderson Cooper 360" had a slight increase of 2 percent.
During President Bush's State of the Union Address, CNN was soundly beaten by Fox, and even lost the key 25-54 demographic to third-place MSNBC.
In contrast, Fox News was the only news network on cable to see viewership increases in February, as it outpaced all other cable news companies combined for the sixth straight month.

Ain't it amazing what happens when you stop assuming people are stupid and actually REPORT the news, as opposed to INTERPRETING it.
I'm not a huge fan of Fox News (or any TV news) but I'd love to see one of the other cable news stations or a TV Networke News station to drop the liberal bias in order to gain ratings. I want to see the liberals lose their grip over TV.

Fox News is fine, but I have very little desire to watch anything after 8PM (Eastern).

"Wolf Blitzer Reports." He does? Woof, woof.
"Lou Dobbs Tonight." I'll pass. Never heard of him.
"Paula Zahn Now." A pretty woman only really looks pretty if she has some spark of intelligence and joy in her face.
I am so PROUD of their investigation of the UN and knowing the terrific bashing they have taken from that....I just am so PLEASED that Fox seems to be run by grown-ups who understand that there are TWO sides to every story.
This network is a miracle to those of us who cannot abide ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN and MSNBC.
CNN had its hayday in the 1990s...with very little competition. The minute that FOX expanded out and became a threat...CNN started to cave in. If the public trend continues, with FOX still in a commanding lead by next spring...I'd expect some massive changes at CNN in order to ensure profits and survival. They will have to copy FOX and attempt to draw viewers back by doing what FOX does. Expect a 50 percent turn-over in personnel as this happens. Wolf might still be around, and Larry too...but the rest of them will resign than work for a network that is copying FOX.
