Yes, that is basically correct. Roderick Meredith left the Worldwide Church of God and first formed the Global Church of God. A controversy in the Global Church of God led to a split, and Meredith then formed the Living Church of God. Another splinter from Global was the Church of God, a Christian Fellowship, which later merged with the United Church of God.

An attack on public servants is an attack on the entire people and their civilization.

So, was this Living Church experiencing some internal doctrinal division?

While I am a member of the United Church of God, I have friends who attend the Living Church of God. I am not aware of any major doctrinal disputes in the Living Church of God. These murders appear to be the work of one man who was mentally ill.

I spent my early years at that mall, just a few years after it was built, hanging onto my Mom's hand for hours. It's where I learned to hate shopping, one of the best gifts my Mom ever gave me. I've hated malls ever since. But you just had to love that cool fountain where the water traveled down the wires!
I grew up in South Milwaukee (not to be confused with the South SIDE of Milwaukee) and it took us what seemed like all day to get to Brookfield Square. That was before Southridge was built. I remember being mesmerised by that fountain....

TV report is that the shooter, Terry Razmann had just lost his job and may have been depressed.
It would be interesting to find out if the guy had recently been put on antidepressant medication.

Do you really think that comment was worth making? yes.....yes I do

I would suggest that people call WTMJ AM 620 on Monday during business hours and demand to talk to management. "GET BELLING ON IT!
Mark's been ranting since Thursday that Wisconsin seems to be the capitol of leftist "hate speech," but no one cares or even pays attention. He carelessly used the "W" word in reference to illegals four months ago, for which he's apologized ad nauseum, and now Milwaukee county's pulled all their ads from anything owned by Clearchannel.
Now this. He'll have a field day with this reporter.

TV report is that the shooter, Terry Razmann had just lost his job and may have been depressed.Seems odd that he would take it out on his fellow church members. Must be more here. Maybe he felt someone in the church gave him bad advice or they were unsympathetic to his situation.

*giggle* do they have aluminum foil on them too?
My brother paid me once to stand and hold the rabbit ears for the last 15 min. of a football game.

Second, the attack on the Court has a far far greater impact on society in general than a murderous feud within a Church.I agree that the Atlanta shooting has a greater impact, but what truly bothered me was that I couldn't find anything but brief mentions of the Wisconsin incident. Fox News would run the same old stuff (for the umpteenth time) on Atlanta, then go on to other news, and then, maybe, there would be mention of Wisconsin.
Geraldo Rivera is still, at this hour, going over and over the same ground. There isn't room for maybe one-tenth the coverage of Wisconsin that there is of Atlanta?

You believe in the class system. Some people are more important than others. Someone shooting a police officer or a judge has not just killed an individual. They have expressed their contempt for the very underpinnings of civilized society. They have committed a crime against us all, and they deserve to pay a higher price for that crime.

Ugh. How very harsh of you.
How do you know she didn't try calling before she posted? She later stated that she kept getting voice mail.
Sounded more like an information plea than anything else.

Mr. Herbert Armstrong always said"Don't believe ME , believe the Holy Bible" He never held a gun or whip to anybody in WorldWide Church of God. Anybody could leave anytime. Some did, and there was never an empty seat. The fact that thousands decided to leave, during the many decades, for whatever reasons, shows that there was NO kind of "control" over anybody.

You are more accomadating here than I am. I was offended. Doesn't mean they aren't entitled as you say. Just poor taste.
