"Does it seem odd to you all the high-profile shootings lately just as they are trying to reintroduce gun bills in the Senate?"
There probably is no connection THIS time, but the question is not all that outlandish, to those have been hanging around firearms and 2nd Amendment type discussion forums for quite some time. Anyone familiar with the history of similar types of shootings, has a good reason to be suspicious. The well respected Neal Knox once even mentioned this phenomena in one of his columns. These shootings almost ALWAYS happen when there is pending gun legislation in Congress. Go back and compare the dates of the passage of the so called assault weapons ban and all the shootings with people using such weapons. That's just one example among many.

"You both heard that comment! Thanks for reporting it.
I would LOVE to know the name of that reporter. If you can figure it out, please post it. "
Ken Herrera on WTMJ 620 AM Milwaukee just acknowledged and apologized for the feed with the "JESUS NUT" reference going out over the air.
Herrera said he pushed the wrong button and HE DID NOT KNOW WHERE THE FEED CAME FROM.
I immediately called WTMJ 620 AM an demanded to know where the feed came from and that until they did identify the source of the offensive comment I would not accept or believe Herrera's explanation.
They are getting flooded with calls.

WTMJ confirmed your observation......

Sorry, folks. I want to get back onto the subject of this thread. This horrible incident. I almost hate to turn on the news anymore. Sometimes I wish I lived back when we didn't even have radios, TV, computers...and only heard the bad news in our neighborhoods - where we could do some good and maybe help.
I get so angry myself, and often very caught up in the hype of things, like the goings on for the past 24 hours in Atlanta. All I wanted to hear was that the guy was caught and that it ended. I had to remind myself to think of the victims and the sorrow of the reality of what was the worst about the story.
But, now we learn of new families of the people who have died today at the hands of this gunman, oh how they must be suffering. I am trying very hard to keep it in perspective and focus on what great losses have occured. My heart goes out to them. I have felt tragedy in my own life, and I know the healing hurts and takes a long time. I pray for their peace and comfort.

I don't think it was. Ken has worked at WBBM AM 720 for years and now is here in Milwaukee on WTMJ AM 620.
I've listened to him for years and would be pretty sure it wasn't.
My guess it was either a producer on the scene or a network or cable feed.
LET'S IDENTIFY THE SOURCE OF THIS OFFENSIVE COMMENT!

These people should shoot themselves FIRST. Yep.
To: BurbankKarl
LOL that would probably work. The MSM networks are always behind, and report little that is actually true. LOL

I dropped mine last year. It really does improve your outlook.
I have my XM radio if something really big breaks....or my police scanner if I hear a siren.
To: Milwaukee_Guy
Okay, I'll go with that. I wouldn't recognize any of the locals on there.

Hold everything Geraldo. No more time for anymore breathless reports on this one. We gotta pack and get up to Wisconsin!
I wouldn't doubt that has been said, or at least thought about. He did a good job this time. I was/have not been happy with Geraldo after his actions in Iraq, but I have to say he was johnny on the spot today.

What kind of connection would you be talking about? I mean, straight out, what do you theorize could be going on, in reality?

This is a profound tragedy and all of our prayers are warranted at this time.
The victims ranged in age from low teens to sixties according to the Brookfield Police Chief press conference.
The next press conference is scheduled at 5:10 PM CST. I would expect the MSM to piggyback this event with the Georgia episode.
