Well, as far as I am concerned she will never receive my vote. Personally, I wince everytime I hear the terms "pro-choice" and "pro-life." No matter what word games a person choses to play. You are either for abortion or against it, or you are just plain confused.

I am anti-abortion. I consider abortion to be infanticide. No one should ever have the "choice" to legally comment infanticide. So, even though she is OK as Sec State. She can forget being the Republican nominee. Also, I find myself getting really ticked at President Bush setting her up to run for president.

One final zinger - even remotely suggesting she holds "libertarian" views makes her obnoxious to me. There are two groups on this forum that I just can't abide - hard core atheistic/naturalistic evolutionists and libertarians.

There goes her chance of being nominated.

Well put. She wouldn't get any votes here either, even against Hillary. We'd sit it out.

Ridiculous... do you even know what mildly pro choice means as defined by Condi Rice? Are all of you in this thread really closed minded to a black woman President?

I am mostly pro-life and somewhat pro-choice. What about it?

My goodness, you'd throw out a reasoned intelligent candidate over one issue? If you don't want an abortion, don't have one. Teach your children it's wrong. But, pun intended, don't throw the baby out with the bathwater!

This is the Achilles heel of a Rice nomination - one the RAT's will have no problem hammering on while pretending to be "mildly pro-choice." Madame Rice will have to change her postition or Roe will have to be overturned to make it a moot point.

I am a conservative libertarian (yes, it is possible. Unless 'conservative' means bullying others into living your lifestyle). There are groups of people I can't abide, that is people that think that others should live by their set of rules.

The abortion issue is important to me too, but I am more interested in whether Condi can kick ass and continue the Bush doctrine. I would rather have a "pro-choice" Condi than a "pro-life" McCain who always seems to grandstand and triangulate against conservatives on all other issues to show off for the media.

Abortion is NOT something the Federal Government should decide. It's absurd to clog the courts and throw those in prison that choose it or practice.

I am pro-life and pro-choice. Abortion should be legal, but NEVER occur.

It's easy to hang out only on FRee Republic and think your opinion is shared by many. For most people in the country, this would not be a deal breaker, but a benefit.

That's just the way it is. I can see nothing but benefit to the country for the GOP nominating her.

I'm for the morning after pill. Does that make me mildly pro-choice?

Hopefully Republicans won't nominate someone like Rice, Giuliani, or McCain.

COUNT ME OUT as far as Condi Rice goes.

I am NOT voting for a "slighty" pro-death candidate.

We don't even know what "mildly pro-choice" means. It could mean she is against abortion except for cases of rape and incest. We should let her clarify her position before outright rejecting her.
