These stories ABOUND.

And NOW, it turns out, that the sheriff's deputy who was overpowered and stripped of a duty weapon, was a FEMALE.

Can't blame her, but we CAN blame political correctness and lack of basic comon sense RUN AMOK for a woman to be ALLOWED to guard, alone, a 6'1" 200 lb male, accused of a violent crime of rape, AND that was just caught the other day with a handmade knife of some sort. Un-f'ing-believable!

It is helpful, in police and corrections work, to have some size, strength, and a commanding presence, with which to intimidate those who might be considering using force to escape, kill, etc. Apparently, the female deputy did NOT have what was necessary to do her job, IF that job entailed escorting much larger, and stronger male inmates.

Again, not blaming her, but I AM blaming the feminazi movement, left-wing media and politicians, liberal ACLU and other ambulance-chasing groups, and others that have foisted affirmative-action for women in jobs that are almost always MUCH better suited for men (law enforcement, combat MOS' in the military, etc.).

There is ABSOLUTELY no excuse, other than fears of being labeled sexist, fears of lawsuits by left-wing lawyers, and just out-and-out incompetence in the leadership of Fulton county (civilian leaders and sheriff's dept. officials), for a female officer to be alone with a male suspect.

Those responsible for the decisions that put that female deputy in that position, have a lot to answer for, and have the blood of 3 people (and possibly more) on their hands.

Doc,
It's worse than you say. She was alone with him in a room as he changed from prison into street clothes and then it was expected that he would comply when it came time to recuff. The plan they were using was depending completely on the goodwill of the defendant. Political Correctness causes death.

"Thompson said Deputy Cynthia Hall had shooting suspect Brian Nichols in a holding area on the eighth floor of the Justice Center Tower in downtown Atlanta. Nichols was changing his jail clothes to his street clothes to appear before Fulton County Superior Court Judge Rowland Barnes in his rape case.

"Before Hall was able to handcuff Nichols after he had changed, Thompson said, he grabbed the deputy's gun and shot her and grabbed her keys. Nichols needed the keys to leave the the hold room, which was between courtrooms 8A and 8B in the newest part of the courthouse."

I was following this story up till 11 am. So I am kind of behind. Has their been any news outlet that put this scum's family or a liberal up/on line that stated he is such a nice person and it must be the corrupt justice system that drove him to do this?

Female deputies should only be in charge of female prisoners or small, slightly built males. And if the female prisoner is a huge man-girl, then the deputy should be at least as big!

In NY, a female corrections officer was raped, tortured and killed rightin the prison by a prisoner known for sexual torture. Why was she assigned to that prison?

This is lunacy.

My only question is how many more Americans are going to have to die in the name of political correctness?

Why not blame the guy who killed the people? There are also small male cops who could be overpowered. Sounds like liberals always seeking to place blame on everyone else. And, there have been conflicting reports - was this guy out on bond or in custody? If he was out on bond, why would he be escorted by an officer? Does anyone know for sure?
