Fulton Co. Judge shot and killed in courthouse shooting (BREAKING Fri 9A)
WAGA-TV/WSB-TV Atlanta | 3.11.05

Posted on 03/11/2005 6:39:06 AM PST by mhking

This is a breaking news situation.

A man entered a courtroom in the Fulton County Courthouse this morning and shot a Fulton County Sheriff's deputy, a clerk and a judge; there are reports from both WSB and WAGA, the judge is deceased.

The perp has carjacked multiple vehicles -- now on his third -- and is still at large.

I've just come from downtown Atlanta, and the city is a madhouse.

"A murderer, rapist, four time carjacker (at last count) still on the loose."

Not to mention the fact that he knows as well as the rest of us that his life is over. It makes him more dagerous than a cornered animal.

It is a reflection of Atlanta....the city has gone to hell in the past 20 years.
No one in their right mind would go into Atlanta unless they had to under threat of death. (Yes, I consider a Braves game a necessity, but that's it)

He didn't have the gun on him when coming into court. He grabbed it from a deputy's holster.

Hopefully, by now all truck driving, concealed carry permit holders in the area are on the lookout.

I think this perp has cost the taxpayers enough money. Time to put a stop to it.

WAGA: Three dead in the courtroom: Judge Barnes, the court reporter and a deputy.

The people brought to Grady are IN ADDITION to the dead in the courtroom.

The deputies were injured as the suspect affected his escape from the FulCo courthouse.

Not surprised. I am an Atlanta native and was carjacked outside of Masquerade on Ponce and thrown in the back of the car until they decided to drop me off in crackville near Georgia Baptist Hospital. I now live in NYC and feel much safer. Atlanta has serious crime issues and the crackheads are a huge part of it.

Sheesh. You must be going to a different Atlanta than the one I go to.

My Atlanta is quite nice.

Was he a jail inmate? If so, why wasnt he in restraints in court?

When this happened in Milwaukee it was a Sheriff screw-up. Someone forgot to put the stun-belt on the guy.
