He said he and Moonves agreed his departure would be sometime early next year and Rather settled on March 9 — the 24th anniversary of when he succeeded Cronkite.
So, Rather is saying, 2 months AFTER the ANG story aired that he and Moonves agreed about his departure. Sure. I believe that!
