The Threat Matrix

The title refers to a daily report given to the president of the United States detailing the most serious terrorist threats against the country. To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger.

"Every morning, the president receives a list of the top ten terrorist threats - this list is known as the threat matrix."

We here at FR are trying to be in conjunction with the daily reports around the world that involve threats. We try to provide a storehouse of information that takes hours of research.

WASHINGTON - Prompted by new intelligence indicating Osama bin Laden reached out to the most feared terrorist in Iraq, President Bush charged Thursday that "al-Qaida still hopes to attack us on our own soil."

"Recently, we learned that Osama bin Laden has urged the terrorist Zarqawi to form a group to conduct attacks outside Iraq, including here in the United States," Bush said at the swearing-in of Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff.

The president vowed, "We're working every day and night to dismantle (bin Laden's) network and to bring him to justice."

JP...haven't seen anything like this in my travels around the net of late. It sounds like they are warning their "brothers"...Muslims away from American fast food. I would think that most practicing Muslims would not eat at American fast food places, because they practice via the Koran, eating only "Halal" food. Islamic Halal food info.

I would hope that this info. is being given to those in the know in the Gulf Area, as a precaution against problems for the Americans in the area.

By the time you read this, Terri Schiavo will be dead. At the time I'm writing this, even most of us who wanted her to live will be relieved that her pain and suffering will be over.

The other good thing about her final release will be that we will no longer have to listen to the so-called experts insist that starvation and dehydration not only aren't painful in the extreme, but actually bring on a state of bliss, almost rapture. These are the same people, I'm willing to wager, who'd throw a hissy fit if you deprived them of a single meal – let alone a few dozen!
