If that happens to me or a loved one it would be my wishes and our wishes as we have discussed, to not be victimized by heroics if the outcome leads to being a burden on the rest of the family. What I deem as a quality of life is not the same as one who would choose to interfere in personal medical decisions. I believe it is ethically more acceptable to have a trained medical professional administer euthanasia as to put a bullet in my head.
the slippery slope here is interfering with personal medical decisions by outsiders.
What outsiders?
And you believe in euthanasia for awake, aware people?
I see you've already taken the bait. Good luck with that.
I personally believe using trained medical professionals as euthanizers, would be unethical.
Ypu made your decision for you. Why insist on extending it to someone who has left no record of such a decision and has, indeed, said some things that would indicate a contrary decision? Are you morally uncomfortable with your own provisions? Do you need them to be validated by others to confirm you?
