Harry Nillson, formerly of Bad Finger, wrote the horrible love epic
I Can't Live (If Living Is Without You)
He killed himself. Never saw that coming.
"I Can't Live (If Living Is Without You)"
Oh you're right! I forgot about that one. I actually like a lot of his stuff but that song was horrible and definately belongs on this thread.
Nah. Evans and Hamm from Badfinger wrote it. Harry Nilsson died of a heart attack.
He killed himself. Never saw that coming.
"Without You" was Harry's biggest hit; it was written by Ham-Evans-Ham (I think these guys were Badfinger, no?).
Oddly, Harry's most popular recordings were by songs written by others; on the other hand, some of his own songs were hit recordings by others.
Two corrections (disregard if somebody's beat me to it):
Harry was never a member of Badfinger.
He died in 1993 (IIRC) of a heart attack after a few years of precarious health due to diabetes and the heart condition. It was while they were putting together the tribute album "Everybody Loves Harry."
