"Mrs. Brown You've Got a Lovely Daughter" by Herman's Hermits

When I was about 15, I asked for "The Best of the Animals" for Christmas. My mother couldn't find it in the store, so she bought me "The Best of Herman's Hermits" instead. To make a long story short, I got out of prison last year.

Most UNDERRATED Love Songs:

1. "Sweet Jane" by the Velvet Underground: "Some people like to go out dancing, but other people like us we gotta work!"

2. "Louie, Louie" the Black Flag version, if only for this line: "Who needs love, when you've got a gun."

Even worse than Herman's Hermits was another Brit group that called themselves Freddy and the Dreamers (their most memorable tune: "Do the Freddy"). This was back during the "British Invasion."

But there were some fairly good ones, like Gerry and the Pacemakers.
