I think we have seen the photographed pages of Palestinian textbooks here on FR, I am pretty sure, that say basically the same thing about non-Muslims and Jews.
I know there is a big school not too far from here, in the O.C. I wonder if it is also funded by the Saudis - anyone know?
Sounds "nice". I too had several muslime friends growing up in Louisiana. Kahlid, one "friend" which I ended up being throw out of school with for getting in too much trouble became very hostile towards me after visiting saudi arabia for his Hajh. He told me that he could not have me for a friend any longer because of my faith. WTF, I knew him since I was 9! Jamal(another muslime friend) later told me that he went off the deep end since returning from s.a. The only thing I am happy about is that he told me the truth.
Trust them? NEVER!
Tell 'em TC!
My sentiments exactly, BC!
I've lived among them in the UAE.
TRUST THEM?
NEVER!!
Anyone who DOES trust them has never studied history. Arabics have been well known throughout history for being scheming and duplicitous. About the only ones who were worse would be French, in second place, and Persians in first place. Intrigue and deception has historically been virtually a sport, a national pastime, among all classes Persians (Persians basically referring to Jordanian, Lebanese, Iranian, Iraqi, and Syrian).
It's a shame that entire post can't be used as a tagline as it has to be repeated so often.
whoa,...absorb this when I'm awake
>>That's good because when they become "good" Muslims they become a menace.
Thus leading to the seemingly oxymoronic truism, that The only good Muslim, is a bad Muslim.
Liberals like to say that "prejudice is ignorance," but in your case the exact opposite is true: "familiarity breeds contempt" regarding Muslims.
A "good" Muslim is a bad human being and some "bad" Muslims are good human beings.
Don't psychoanalyze me. Refute what I say, if you can.
Incredibly enough, I was AGREEING with you and your low opinion of Muslims. Liberals like to claim that "prejudice is ignorance" but you lived amongst the Muslims and saw first-hand what they were like and it wasn't pretty. That's what I meant by "familiarity breeds contempt." I've read and heard similar opinions from other "infidels" who lived in close contact with Muslims. Stereotypes are generally accurate -- that's how they got to be stereotypes in the first place.
You misunderstood what I wrote.
bttt
Loose lips sink ships, but hypothetically speaking, something like that may be already happening...
Dennis Prager wrote a great column on exactly that theme a couple years ago:
Of course, the great majority of Muslims are peaceful -- so what?
http://jewishworldreview.com/1102/prager110502.asp
You can skip to the last paragraph or two if you're short on time, but it is not a long column, and worth the read.
Exactly.
Exactly right, just like illegals are being apprehended, prosecuted and returned across the border. Action will be taken and it will be firm...........yeah, right.
My apologies.
There are so many on this forum who say I'm a bigot, but they can never refute my accusations about Islam.
There are several of us on here who have lived in the MidEast, and I haven't found one yet who differed from my opinion.
You are correct that "familiarity breeds contempt".
As I have tried to explain so many times, I don't care if someone believes in a pile of dog poop as long as that pile of dog poop doesn't tell them to kill me if I don't believe in it, too.
When they start telling me that I have to believe as they believe under the threat of death, we've got a problem. Then it behooves me to tell them that they have to change their beliefs, or I will take steps to kill them before they can kill me.
I've been accused of urging a pre-emptive strike against all the Muslims in the world, and that's simply not true. I believe in live and let live, but the "let live" includes me and all my Christian and Jewish brothers and sisters.
We didn't establish the parameters of this war. They were set for us a long time before 9-11.
Thank you for your clarification.
That's a good article, and it says it a lot better than I ever could.
I would depart from him in one respect:
I don't care if the Muslim countries blow each other to bits as long as they keep that home grown terror out of America.
The American Muslims are the ones I'm pissed at!
