"Terri has been denied her constitutional right to be a free human being for way to long. We want to release her from her joyless room, grant her therapy she has been denied, help her feel HOPE and LOVE HER UP, BUT GOOD!"
REPUBLIC WROTE:
"""Don't you ever WISH that the Schindler's could say to the crowds.."How I wish we could put Terri in her wheelchair, but it has been broken for years and Michael will not fix it nor allow us to replace it, How we wish she could be here""""""
Hiya Republic~~ It's kind of funny that you would mention Terri's wheelchair on the very night that MSNBC Cable News, has been repeatedly showing TERRI IN HER WHEELCHAIR, being PUSHED BY MICHAEL SCHIAVO.
But that outing was so very long ago. Terri was being pushed in her wheelchair and being taped by the News Media in Florida with Michael's approval. The so called husband wanted those tapes to BE SHOWN IN COURT. That would be the civil case, when he was seeking millions of money for Terri's treatment and therapy.
WAS TERRI'S WHEEL-CHAIR NOTHING BUT A PROP FOR HIM TO USE TO IMPRESS THE JURY into giving him all those millions of dollars? Obviously, there's a good possibility it was, since once he got all the money, HE REQUESTED TERRI'S DEATH or ELIMINATION by STARVATION.
Again speaking of WHEELCHAIRS - The mom whose son woke up after 19 years, took him out for walks for all of those 19 years. Imagine how hard she would have fought if some one had tried to prevent that MOM FROM TAKING HER SON FOR WALKS IN HIS WHEEL-CHAIR. The doctor on the Discovery Channel, stated the MOM most likely made the difference in his recovery.
WHAT RIGHT DOES MICHAEL SCHIAVO HAVE - TO DENY, TERRI the **RIGHT*** to be OutDoors in the Sun, to enjoy the FRESH AIR.
WHAT *RIGHT* DOES SCHIAVO HAVE - TO DENY HER PARENTS THE ***RIGHT** TO TAKE THEIR DAUGHTER FOR A WALK?
FELOS talks about Rights. Well, I've got news for him. Neither Judge Greer or anyone else has the RIGHT TO DENY TERRI AND HER FAMILY THE THEIR RIGHT TO LIBERTY * LIFE IN THIS COUNTRY~~!!!
Funny you should ask. They did say that in the Jacksonville press conference on 2/28/05, but it was never mentioned in the news. They did get a condescending treatment from one channel, that tried to compare Terri to another unfortunate local woman who (as I heard the details of the story) ended up going into a true terminal condition, and having life support discontinued.
Bob Schindler gave that wonderful story that had happened just days ago about the visit he and attorney David Gibbs had made to Terri, where she lost all interest in him. NOT A MENTION! NOT A FOLLOWUP QUESTION!
The DC chapter is so good at making the most of every golden, odd opportunity. I missed my chance then to simply blurt out, "But wait! I thought she was not responsive!" and then force the debate.
People truly hear what they want to hear, and believe what they want to believe. I gave my photo printouts of FL engineer's "Terri Big Eyes" to some of the media people, including that nice lady from the station that later that night did the unfavorable comparison) . . . If we rely on the MSM, even nice likeable local individuals who seem like they MIGHT care, we cannot be sure we are getting all the details. We have to supplement it if the matter is important to us. Which of course is why FR.
Just to continue on this theme, this also comes up in news stories in which the reporter doesn't want to come across as 'too hard on the individual' or maybe his family. Maybe there's concern about lawsuits, or inflaming passions, or being misunderstood. I can sympathize, because I've run into it when trying to figure out what and how much information to post here to FR about an event.
