Family, supporters turn up the heat on legislators in Schiavo case

This lady was upset and emotional about Terri. It was easy to hear that she supported Terri, but she made one of the most dangerous statements that I have heard concerning Terri to date.
She said that it would be so cruel to starve and dehydrate Terri to death when death row inmates can just get a lethal injection and die and easy death. The way she said it implied that she might be more OK with Terris murder if Terri could just be put down by lethal injection.
Heres why her statement is so dangerous
Euthanasia was ushered into Europe by a case in the Netherlands that was much like Terris. Wife became disabled .husband wanted rid of wife wife did not need life support. This husband's only recourse to bring about his wifes death was to have her starved and dehydrated to death. Needless to say, this man succeeded in his quest to kill his wife.
Soon after her death public debate on the topic of euthanasia erupted in Europe. There was a great outcry against the horrific manner in which the woman had to die. Starvation/dehydration took too long and involved too much suffering.
Death advocates then played on the publics natural fear of suffering, and successfully lead the public to the next obvious step. They convinced the public that this type of suffering could be stopped by simply changing the method death from starvation/dehydration to lethal injection. The public bought this fairy tale and BANG! The next thing you know Europe had legalized euthanasia, and the death industry was running at a profit.
Today in parts of Europe they have suicide clinics where teenagers can walk in and have themselves euthanized without parental consent. They have doctors who have the power to kill disabled patients against there will. There are even cases of people who are terminally ill who are spending the last few months of their lives in court fighting for the right to not be murdered the second they become incapacitated, and they are moving now in the Netherlands to be able to euthanize infants with disabilities who could be deemed to be a burden on society.
This is what Terri Schiavos case is really about. Its about bringing euthanasia to the United States. We cannot allow the death advocates to play on our fears and make us believe that Terri and all other disabled people would be better off if they could just go to sleep and never wake up.
And remember, the bottom line for these people is money. Its cheaper to kill disabled people than it is to care for them. We cannot fall into this trap.
"TALLAHASSEE - The fight to keep Terri Schiavo alive is moving from the courthouse to the Statehouse. Terri's parents will testify at a judiciary committee hearing on a revised version of Terri's Law this afternoon. ..."

Together, let's lift the Schindlers up in prayer to our Father. Let's petition our Lord to grant them the wisdom and strength and peace needed to open the eyes and hearts of the judiciary committee. Let's lift them up to our Father....as Mel Gibson has said, together, we will 'hammer our prayers to our Father'. Let's do it now!
