You are so right. I SCREAM at the TV every time they mention Terri as being kept alive artificially.... If nutrition and hydration are artificially keeping her alive, then we are all being kept alive artificially. The Schiavo-Felos-Greer trio of death has used WORDS to shape this fight for their benefit. We have to figure out a way to CORRECT the words they use. Maybe I'm a bit picky about words, but isn't the term "assisted suicide" an oxymoron? Suicide means to kill yourself, so by definition, if someone helps you, it is NOT suicide. The name for "assisted suicide" is really "murder." Again, with the words shaping the argument...

BTW, I am still waiting for someone of the euthanasia-enthusiast persuasion to explain to me where the RIGHT to die originates? Is it one of those unalienable rights, is it a right from God? Is this a right from the constitution? I don't get it.

I have observed over the years, minions of the dark side use words as tools to elicit responses, with the meaning of the words very incidental if even that. They know they can manipulate us because we use words for their meaning and they use the words for the effect they bring. I have been calling it mercy murder as in

And through deft and illegal means, Terri was put in a hospice. And through a the very vile use of a doctor from Ohio, who was friends with Felo's brother, a doctor who broke a raging battle that was in a TIE between medical experts on both sides, Terri was labeled....PVS in court.

The public hears the words:

HOSPICE (little do they know that Terri has NEVER BEEN DYING)

and the word:

PVS

And they wonder what is wrong with the Schindlers.

It is a madhouse.

And yes, assisted sucicide is an oxymoron of the first degree.

This "right" originates among the liberal intelligentsia, the grandchildren of Margaret Sanger et al, and it has strong supporters in both parties. Most Americans though haven't a clue about what is happening. Big media are among the strong supporters of euthanasia: that's why it won't tell the truth about Terri.
