As I posted, they also told me that it was scheduled for Wednesday. I asked them if they could "expedite" it like the Senate did. They couldn't tell me and never used the work "expedited". I did not consider Wednesday expedited, not did they indicate that Wednesday was an expedited session. I wonder if they used the word "expedite" after I called. They sure weren't calling it an expedited bill when I called. It looks like a regularly scheduled bill is now being called expedited.
If you look at the schedule there isn't anything posted for Friday, Monday, or Tuesday. According to the other members of the committee, it was up to the leadership what bills were scheduled. I really think Rep. Sensenbrenner could get a vote quicker if he wanted to.
The senate has the same bill introduced by Martinez and they are acting on it today.
Wednesday gives very little wiggle room.
