Absolutely they will. That is why state troopers must accompany DCF. Even then, I wouldn't be surprised if there is not some kind of shootout. I would imagine that DCF people are afraid to take action now if they are not backed by police, and even then it will be hard to find a bureaucrat willing to take a risk that could endanger his own life. George W. Greer is the "second" George III, but the first George III was actually reasonable by comparison.
hE IS ONE MAN.
Has anyone remarked on this before?
I don't know why, but I keep thinking of Terri's plight in comparison to a work of fiction called The Trial, written by Kafka.
I have never read it, but know what the basic premise is.
From amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0805209999/104-6220481-6428718
"Written in 1914, The Trial is one of the most important novels of the twentieth century: the terrifying tale of Josef K., a respectable bank officer who is suddenly and inexplicably arrested and must defend himself against a charge about which he can get no information. Whether read as an existential tale, a parable, or a prophecy of the excesses of modern bureaucracy wedded to the madness of totalitarianism, Kafka's nightmare has resonated with chilling truth for generations of readers."
~~~~~~~~~~~
Terri has somehow gotten caught up in a comparable situation, trapped by a bureaucracy which won't let her go.
She too is fighting for her freedom, in her case her life. It's a nightmare scenario.
No, George W. Greer is more than one man: he represents a movement dedicated to kill, maim, and steal. Right now, this monster is the most powerful man in FL!
I think we need to turn all of our attention to President Bush and to our State Reps Congressmen,Senators...even though many of us have already done this, there is no rule that we cannot call our political representives more that once...because we are there constituents. We need to continue to call the Florida legislators.
I would like to see Gibbs explain why he had to leave the courtroom and why Felos was allowed to stay.
Here is a quote applicable to the excellent point that you raise. It is from the late philosopher Russell Kirk: "Nowadays the catastrophes of the real world put fiction to shame, and the fascination is gone out of the novel. The novelist himself is overwhelmed by a sense of the pettiness of his craft in the fact of tragic reality."
OMG.
Thanks for the heads up about Michael Savage.
I'll be watching, thanks for the heads up!
They were called back afterwards.
For one thing, if the allegations are CRIMINAL, michael should be represented by a criminal defense attorney, not FELOS. Felos had no business being in there at all except to tell GREER WHAT HE WANTED GREER TO DO WITH DCF. Felos got his wish. Nothing matters to these people except that they get to MURDER TERRI IN COLD BLOOD.
Yes, further proof that George W. Greer is a mad judicial tyrant. No wonder Men's Health magazine rated Tampa-St. Petersburg, FL, among the most "mentally depressed" cities in which to live.
WAKE UP, THEODORE, I WAS TALKING ABOUT CRIST BEING ONE MAN, NOT GREER! GOOD GRIEF. YOU WERE TALKING TO ME ABOUT CRIST REFUSING TO DO ANYTHING, AND TRYING TO SAY THE DCF AND CRIST WERE SIMILAR. I WROTE BACK AND SAID "HE[CRIST] IS ONE MAN."
have his thugs visited your home? If they show up, you have my permission to puke on them
I'm too sick to do anything yet. Hopefully, I'll be able to go Saturday to the VIGIL/PROTEST at Hospice Woodside. There are supposed to be tons of people that day from all over the place.
Great quote you posted, and so true, isn't it?
Nobody except madmen could invent some of the stuff that goes on.
Who could ever believe that in real life a severely handicapped person would be starved to death for the third time with the sanction of the courts and officials.
Truly beyond belief.
well, you better get plenty of rest and drink gatoraid
??????????
THAT I COULD DO....
I totally agree, Starwise.
However, I'll add, this is more like the worst HORROR MOVIE MADE ON THIS PLANET.
It's a NIGHTMARE THAT MUST END, by Terrigoing home to be with her family who loves her.
yes, greer has his own goons. He really thinks he is king of Florida. So far, nobody has proven him wrong. WHERE'S HIS JAIL CELL? WHO HAS THE GUTS TO PUT HIM BEHIND BARS?
