Dean Spoke Racist Remarks
AFRICAN AMERICANS DEMAND APOLOGY FROM HOWARD DEAN FOR RACIALLY INSENSITIVE REMARKS

(Jackson, Miss) - A group of Mississippi's African American Republicans, led by Charles Evers former Mayor of Fayette, MS and current member of the MS Republican Executive Committee, will gather for a press conference in the rotunda of the State Capitol on Monday, February 28, @ 2:00 PM in order to demand an apology from Democratic National Committee (DNC) Chairman Howard Dean for his racially insensitive remarks earlier this month.

On February 11th, in a speech to members of the DNC Black Caucus, Dean remarked, "You think the Republican National Committee could get this many people of color in a single room?" Then he added: "Only if they had the hotel staff in here."

Charles Evers, civil rights advocate and brother of Medgar Evers, will serve as spokesman of the event. Chairman Dean will be at Jackson's Clarion Hotel tomorrow evening for a fundraiser benefiting the Mississippi Democratic Party.

Not his fault - New Hampshire has only 3% black population, so as Governor he never had to watch his words. But Howie was Governor of Vermont. (Not that it's all that different from NH, anyhow.)

Neither Dean nor the old-timey media consider these African-Americans to be, well, black. If they don't, well, step-n-fetchit when one of the black pimps the dems hire to keep the field hands in line orders it, they aren't really blacks. If Jesse oe Qweezi says, "Jump," and they all say in resonse, "How high," then they are blacks but if they are of sound judgment and independent thought, Dean doesn't give a big rat's a** about them.

I can't wait til' 2006. Because it's a mid-term election, the DNC chairman will be the face of the party instead of a presidential nominee. Walk with your arms outstreached Howard. It makes it harder for them to get the net over you.

Does anyone believe that this will receive one line of coverage in the "mainstream" media? It is to laugh.

This is so much fun to watch. At the rate the dems are going, they are going to be fighting for 3rd party status inside the next 4 years.

This is the first in a long line of verbal faux pas that Dean will commit as DNC chairman.

While most of the so-called leaders of the black community will stifle their rising gorges, it can't escape their knowlege that he's not going to please their constituents with remarks like this.

I'm betting he can, and will, anger another core Dem constituency--and soon. Go Howie!
