Weston · Sounding more like a future presidential candidate than a losing vice presidential nominee, former North Carolina Senator John Edwards rallied Broward County Democrats Saturday night with a speech that focused on the core beliefs of his party.

I heard a figure (confrm or deny according to what you know), that medical malpractice suits in the US is now a $260 billion industry. That's a charge of something like $3,500+ per family!

And without that thing on his lip. The Silky Pony got it removed, saying that his doctor thought that it may be cancerous. Why can't I believe him?

Yeah, his saying that reminds me of when people like Michael Jackson claim that he had his nose fixed smaller so that he could breathe easier because he had a "breathing problem" (um, so having an itsy-bitsy nose is supposed to improve that?), and David Gest who claims the only reason why he got Botox injections is because of his "migraines."

It was all health reasons. Appearance had nothing to do with it. Uh-huh, yeah right, sure.

Edwards was nearly unrelenting in his criticism of Bush, calling his plan to reform Social Security "a disaster."

"It undermines and weakens one of the greatest anti-poverty plans in U.S. history," he said. A better alternative, he said, would be to roll back tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans and use the money to shore up the retirement program.

I would have liked to ask Mr. Edwards if he considers Terri Schindler-Schiavo an American? How about sparing some of that 'opportunity' for her?!

Then maybe Edwards could have gone over to the hospice where he could then 'channel' Terri (like he did those unborn babies in court). I bet Terri would also have told him...I WANT TO LIVE!!
