Where are these people going to run to? They run from their ancestral homes without a fight, would you want them living near you? Old Europe is showing they are nothing but a rabble of cowards.

I searched the site to make sure that this article was not posted, and I was shocked what the word "Dutch" returns. One example is that they are removing their flag from class rooms because it offends Muslims. What is next, changing the name of their country to appease the immigrants? To think these are the same people that fought so gallantly against the Nazi’s. Pathetic!

Old Europe is showing they are nothing but a rabble of cowards.

Great article written by Matthias Döpfner, Chief Executive of German publisher Axel Springer AG. Link

Appeasement crippled Europe when genocide ran rampant in Kosovo and we Europeans debated and debated until the Americans came in and did our work for us. Rather than protecting democracy in the Middle East, European appeasement, camouflaged behind the fuzzy word "equidistance," now countenances suicide bombings in Israel by fundamentalist Palestinians. Appeasement generates a mentality that allows Europe to ignore 300,000 victims of Saddam’s torture and murder machinery and, motivated by the self-righteousness of the peace-movement, to issue bad grades to George Bush. A particularly grotesque form of appeasement is reacting to the escalating violence by Islamic fundamentalists in Holland and elsewhere by suggesting that we should really have a Muslim holiday in Germany.

Where are these people going to run to?

Where do you think? Here!

Do we really want to let the "enlightened" Dutch into this country so they can swell the ranks of the liberal Democratic Party, and preach how great multiculturalism is?

If the Dutch can screw up their own country do we want them here to screw up our country?

Fundamentalist/radical Muslims are like Communists of a generation ago. They abuse the freedoms afforded by an open, democratic society to perpetuate evil. The Netherlands, which is a particularly open society, is learning this lesson early, but we need to realize that our society is also vulnerable to these same problems, albeit perhaps in 15 or 20 years.

Appeasement to Islamic demands in one's own country represents a slow progression towards dhimmitude (sp?), i.e., second-class citizenship for non-Muslims. It is already happening; PC speech codes preclude people from telling the truth about Islam, and when the truth can't be told, freedom shrivels up and goes away. Liberals are so arrogant, so anti-Christian, and so careless about freedom, they can't see what is happening.
