They had to hide the mercy killing from the public in advertising to get an audience.
They made it the feel good Rocky type movie in the ads.

A lot of people had the reaction that you have... I've not seen it. I dont' know what to think. I hear you have to watch it 'in context' but I already don't like the idea of the end.
