Problem with Aviator: in now way fashion or form does he resemble Hughes or behave as Hughes might have. In his need to feel loved by the industry, Scorsese has attached himself to a real loser IMO

I agree, and not only that, but DiCaprio looks 24 years old no matter how much make up and hair dye is used. He didn't have a commanding presence on the screen at all. He just didn't pull it off.

I enjoyed the Aviator if only for the fact that it is the first movie in a long time to glorify an white male unabashed capitalist.
