Excellent. Do you know if Kansas has the death penalty?

The death penalty was recently set aside in the state, so it's doubtful that he will get lethal injection.

Because the death penalty was not an option in Kansas until 1994, this guy will not be facing the death penalty for the crimes he committed that we know of at this point.

During the time he committed these murders there was no death penalty as is now. (Sucks)
I live in wichita, and the news conference sounded more like a great big "lets pat each other on the back". I'm very glad they've arrested someone but the news conference was distubing to say the least. They do have reason to keep to a need to know basis, but this was past that. That is all I know.

Yes they do, but not for crimes committed before 1994.

We did, but it was overruled due to judicial tyranny.

This was touched on during Rita Cosby's Fox special last night. Kansas's high court outlawed the death penalty two years ago, so the BTK killer, if convicted, would no doubt stay in jail for life.
