Free Republic does not allow the posting of Holocaust denial, nor links to Neo-Nazi sites, odious sites like Jewwatch, nor links to other racist and hate-filled propaganda sites.

Maybe you want to decry the lack of "freedom" here, and move on....

We are talking about Canada here. The US is not Canada. In the US, we do not need to deny jokers like this guy his right to speak (although we would certainly throw his ass in jail if his speech led to violence). We just laugh at them.

Veronica, how can I stop beating my wife, when I have never beaten her?

Someone was kind enough to explain this to me.

This has nothing to do with freedom of speech. This guy was not a Canadian citizen. He was a German citizen. The Canadians have every right to deport an undesirable alien. So do we (the US) and I would hope that we would deport such a person ourselves.

We can argue that the Canadians may or may not be consistent in who they think is an undesirable. But let's agree that they were right this time and send this slime-ball packing.

We did. I think he lived here a couple of years. The legal proceedings deporting him back to Canada took a few weeks, but in fairness he has a decades long history in Canada from which to make a case to be allowed to stay.

---Does Canada have a Bill of Rights?---

No and most countries don't, something it might be helpful to have emphasized in civics class once in awhile. I believe that in Canada as in Great Britain you have the right to beg your member of parliment for help and the right to hope that "traditional privilages" are on your side.
