Hell of a commentary on Big-time NCAA sports and the leaders of this Collegiate undertaking. It is almost time to start reforming these esteemed Institutions from outside-in.

Cheney's been crazy for quite some time.  Well, I should say prone to psychotic episodes.  I met him about 7 years ago when I was still taking classes at TU and he was about as nice a man as you'll ever want to meet.  Still, his outbursts, such as threatening to kill the coach of U Mass several years ago, stopping by the table at Ruth's Chris when the Eagles were courting John Runyan and telling him it would be a horrible mistake to sign here, things along those lines, they pop up about once a year.

 

Some here think he has a grudge against the city since he was an all city player but didn't get a scholarship offer from any of the Big Five, I don't know.  I've never seen a man get such a free ride.

Chaney has always been a hot temper. When he was doing most of his shenanigans, Bobby Knight was doing worse so his antics went under the radar. Now that Knight is at Texas Tech and behaving reasonably, Chaney is more noticeable. That said, just like Knight at IU, Chaney will soon wear out his welcome, and I think this incident will be the end of his career there, or at least the beginning of the end.
