President Bush continued his European trip today as he spoke in Bratislava, Slovakia to an enthusiastic crowd. The President later met with Russian President Vladimir Putin and both later spoke to the media. The First Couple also gave their best wishes to Pope John Paul II, who is recovering from emergency surgery. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!
I know he's gorgeous, and appeals to women, but he's a wonderful, strong, caring man who appeals to men as well.
I mean, my husband is not one bit jealous that I absolutely LOVE this man..........because HE does too. (In a different kind of way, of course. ;o)
Great analogy, Matt.
Oh...........WELL said, matt! WELL said, and on the money!
Hey you! How have you been?
President Bush is back in Washington D.C. now
I'm off to watch TV. I'll be back when my mother goes to bed.
What a FABULOUS photo!
Really good. Busy with school, but hanging in.
How are you? I noticied you're hoping for more snow. We've been getting a light dusting almost every night this week in northern Az. Plus the ski mountain is just covered.
I got one of those in the mail from the White House two days ago, and yes it's a great photo :-)
It is a great one I can see why people were raving over it.
Happy Birthday, Julie!!
ACK! I would NEVER hope for more snow! I'm SOOOOOO ready for Spring!!!
There is nothing pretentious about the beauty. It is just Old World Europe at its best.
When I was traveling from Hungary to Czechoslovakia, it was 1991, and just as we crossed the border into Czechoslovakia, on our right was a large statue of a black eagle with a hammer and sickle in its talons. Except the hammer and sickle had been BROKEN OFF! I get goose bumps just remembering it.
I was wrong too.
But thank God he and Laura and the rest of the administration that traveled with him are back safely in Washington.
I think it was a very successful trip. Two thumbs up to President Bush for a job well done on his Euro trip.
It's just a charming picture. They look so absolutely, positively happy!
I'm telling ya, so adorable.
The Bushes really do make a lovely, loving couple.
You're lucky. I would love to visit those cities. How long ago were you there?
My most prized possession from President Bush is a signed letter of thanks for my work for his campaign here in Maryland, I have it framed and it's hanging on my wall :-)
This picture feels me with pride. These are the people G.W. connects with. Those that treasure Liberty and understand the stakes to achieve it.
I look at this photo and those folks within. Some old enough to have spent their entire lives under Soviet rule, some barely children when it fell, others not even born at the time. I look at them and you can see the faces of the people in Iraq finally freed, the Afghani's a bit ahead of Iraqi's in establishing a free representative government and those across the globe still under oppression and those right this minute stating they've had enough such as in Lebanon.
This man isn't hated by them. There are millions of voices right now hanging on what this President does. He's beloved by them, they just don't have a big enough voice yet so G.W. has to be their voice. They are passing scraps of material of his Inaugural around or spreading it by word of mouth if necessary. People in Iran were flashing the "V" sign when he won re-election.
It's humbling, I'm awestruck and struck by the sense of responsibility we have to make sure their hope is fed. This is our destiny. To give back and we've been blessed with.
