On the radio as breaking so far!
1. If she dies he stands to inherit a lot of money or a life insurance policy.
2. If she regains her ability to talk she will tell people what happened to her and that scares him.
ex-post facto.
Ex-post facto applies only in criminal cases. This is a "civil" execution in the State of FL. When tax hikes were passed in the summer of 1993, they were for instance made retroactive to Jan. 1, for the convenience of tax collectors. And it was legal. Similary, the GWB tax cuts of 2001 were also retroactive: hence $500 checks were issued in the fall of 2001 to many families.
OK, OK...feeding tube. I knew what I meant.
I saw Terri's sister and mom hug in the courtroom. When Greer did the 2 day extension, the courtroom was applauding apparently.
DCF is the protective agency, dept. of children and family services.
I think it is a ploy because NOBODY can file anything or make any kind of objection to the Court or the Governor on the weekend!! I am astonished that Governor Bush wouldn't take custody of this girl and bring her under his protection AS THE LAW ALLOWS HIM TO DO IMMEDIATELY!!
Thanks!!! I thought it must be something like that - but don't like to assume..
This makes such elegant sense, I wonder why Terri's family has never pointed it out. Or have they? I may have missed it but I don't recall they ever commented on it. (Why didn't Michael sue for malpractice if Terri had all this damage caused by paramedics or hospital personnel?)
Removing it wouldn't require special surgery, probably. There are some that are "stitched" inside, that would require going down with a scope and removing the stitches.
But I suspect this is just a g-tube that any nurse could remove. I can't imagine a nurse doing it in a situation like this...I guess there might be some, but I couldn't live with myself.
It may be an answer to prayer...it buys time.
Randall Terry and the Schindlers are going to Tallahassee tonight to request a special session and to meet with Governor Bush per my tv.
Works at a hospital huh? What hospital and what is the email address. I am off down here in Mississippi and really want to give them what for by having someone like this jerk in their employment.
That's why I don't understand all the stays. Why can't a decision be made by the judge? Why the delay? And for what? From what you say, there's evidence that the husband doesn't have her best interests at heart.
A law that decrees that people can be legally starved and dehydrated to death is a law that needs to be thrown OUT. I don't recognize murder as a law.
For God's sake, Judge Greer is toying with Terri's life! What a monster from hell.
I think Greer is a sadistic bast***.
I think Greer is a sadistic bast***.
Yes, but sadly in that he has worn the "R" label, that makes him acceptable to so many.
Disagree. A state can't pass ex-post facto laws either. Clearly stated in the Constitution. Ex-post facto means after the fact.
Michael Schiavo just wants Terri dead - it's a control thing and a spiritual thing. Period. Michael's attorney wants her dead so he can write a book about it and rake in a pile of dough. Judge Greer REALLY wants Terri dead because if she lives everyone is going to find out what an incompetent evil monster he is.
Be glad for the reprieve...he could have ruled she be starved today. God is at work.
