Here is something I pulled off the Internet. Right after the assassination the media had blamed the 'far right' for the killing... here is someone's response
This author write to Senator Edmondson and reminded him, “It is strange to me that neither you nor Mr. Lippman have had anything to say about Fair Play for Cuba Committee and the American Civil Liberties Union, in both of which Lee Harvey Oswald, the President’s assassin, had an interest. In fact, in our Tulsa Daily World, Thursday, December 12, there was an Associated Press article saying that the Communist who assassinated Mr. Kennedy, Oswald, had attended a meeting of the American Civil Liberties Union on the campus of the Southern Methodist University less than one month before the assassination. At that time, he was shown a real hate film called “Suspect,” put out by the ACLU. The film is designed to turn the liberals against the anti-Communists and conservatives of the United States.

“So if Lee Oswald assassinated the President because of a hate climate, may I assure you that, based on fact, Mr. Oswald’s motivation was a hate film put out by an organization called the American Civil Liberties Union. He was not influenced by, let’s say, ‘Operation Abolition’ put out by the House Committee on Un-American Activities or ‘Communist Encirclement’ put out by Harding College, but anti-Communist films. It was not an anti-Communist film that angered Mr. Oswald. If indeed he plotted the assassination of the President because of a ‘hate climate’ in Dallas, it was one which had been created by the liberal leaders of that community.

Good post, but it will NEVER convince the die hard conspiracy theorists. Why let the truth stand in the way of the "facts".

Only a fool would believe Oswald killed JFK.

I've been to the site in Dallas and looked it over. IMO, a guy getting off four shots in a depressed trajectory at a moving target going away from the shooter with a piece of crap like an Italian Carcano is just too much to believe. I have no pet theories of my own and I don't really follow all the sweaty conspiracy out there. Slapping a cheap bolt around at high speed and placing four extremely difficult shots into the target, including a solid lethal hit, is just too much for me to buy. Period.

There was a show on Discovery (can't remeber the name) that recreated the shot. Moving target (a watermelon) in a car like JFK's and he was able to hit it from the same elevation and distance with the same gun LHO used. I belive he hit it 2 out of 3 times.

The truth would have to include Cyril Whicts(sp?) findings that there was evidence of a frontal impact. I've studied this tragedy for years and do not concur with the author nor some of the theories put forth by the film.
I let it go there.

Right on. Both my parents told me that that was the day they knew they should fear our government.

Of course that is not the way it is now. Now we need to fear lawyers and judges.

"Read Gerald Posner's Case Closed."

What's he say?

BTW, another item that sticks in my craw is the account given by a guy named Crenshaw (SP?) who was the resident surgeon at the hospital where Kennedy and Oswald were both taken. He was the admitting physician. He swears that Kennedy did not have the kind of wounds described in the official autopsy. He claimed he was threatened by the Feds to shut-up about what he described as different wounds than those officially described. I'm not saying this guy is a final word, but a retired surgeon has plenty of bucks and his sole angle, according to his book, was to clear the record. Who knows...
