QUEEN WILL NOT ATTEND WEDDING

The Queen will not attend the wedding of Charles and Camilla, the couple have announced.

She will, however, attend the church blessing after the civil ceremony.

The couple are due to get married at the Guildhall in Windsor.

It was reported on this side of the pond today that the queen will not attend due to security reasons. (Considering it's Prince of Wales' wedding, they've sure had some abrupt changes in plans.) Any comment?

If the Queen disapproved (or approved with conditions regarding succession to the throane) would she take the drastic step of passing over Charles in her will?

I ask because the Duke & Duchess of Windsor come to mind. It's been how many years ago? And from what I understand, he's still persona non grata.

Does the everyday, workaday Brit care? Serious question. Do you look to the throne for "leadership" (although not political) or do they hold just a sentimental spot in your hearts?
