I do believe that the Bible says that a man and women, when married, LEAVE their parents and CLEAVE to one another and become ONE BODY! How do YOU know that Terry did not tell her husband HER wishes? Her parents should not be in the picture. Her husband is the LEGAL immediate family. Don't complain to me about it, that is the legal system in America. I told my spouse MY WISHES and backed it up with legal paperwork. Now, open up those rusty irrigation gates to let a little new thinking in...

With all due respect-- You don't know JACK about htis case do you?

Her "HUSBAND" cried in court when sueing for malpractice about how he needed the money- "For Terri. For her needed medical care and therapy." the day he got the check he stops by the hospital and orders ALL therapy STOP!

Then he shacks up with his honey--(How's that for "CLEAVING!") and gets his new attorney. SOmehow once he talks to his PRO-DEATH attorney- HUBBY MIRACULOUSLY remembers Terri really wants to die. Then he gives Terri's CARE $$$$ to attorney death to make sure Terri gets all the care she needs TO STARVE TO DEATH!

I realize you don't know the FACTS, but you might want to try knowing them before you start ADVOCATING on the side of killing handicapped women.....

You've twice stated that she was 'just lying there' or a 'dent in the sheets'.

This description is completely wrong.

She is not 'just lying there', she is interactive with her parents and she sits upright.

She responds to her parents when spoken too and even laughs when they tease her.

This is hardly someone in a 'vegetative state'.

You are using the Bible to advocate murder. Terri has no living will and has not expressed a desire to be starved to death. As such, the Catholic Church's position on starving oneself to death being justifiable suicide is moot.

I don't know if Terri told her husband her wishes, and neither do you; you don't know whether she told him anything regarding her own euthanasia, or if she told him she wanted to die under the circumstances she now finds herself, or if she told him she wanted to live under such circumstances.

You are advocating for the death of this woman, not knowing the facts; I am advocating for her life.

It is a very important truism: If the possibility for error is in play, one should err on the side of life.

Her "Husband", and I use that term very loosely, could care less about Terri. He has already moved on with his life by impregnating another woman twice and is living with said other woman.....so much for being a "husband". Guess he forgot the part about "being ONE Body"......

The point is, without her written statement, how do you know that she DID say this? Schiavo never mentioned her feelings during the suit for $1.7 million, but suddenly when he had a honey and a child he remembered that Terry "would not want to live like this." Suits his agenda perfectly. I personally believe that no statement similar to the one made by Shciavo should have any legal standing without written evidence with the signature of the originator.
