Please pray for my 17 year old daughter's safety, that the Lord is watching over her and protecting her from harm. I just filed a missing persons report with the Columbus Police Department about an hour ago, when it became apparent that I was not going to get the usual call from her letting me know where she was.
I left for work at 10:45 am and the last thing she said was that she was going to get her hair cut. No e-mail, no phone calls to me throughout the course of the day, which struck me as odd, because we hadn't had any harsh words and life seemed to be great. I got off work at 9 pm and she wasn't home, which isn't unusual because she spends alot of time with Young Life. Hours passed, no phone call. By 2 I was nearly hysterical with worry. I have left messages on her friends' cell phones hoping for a call back. I am sorry to say that I was not able to give the officer a description of what she was wearing, only a picture.
This is SO out of character for this young lady. She's always been the responsible one, even though she has been suffering from Senior-itis this year and has tested the boundaries to the limit. I am so frightened thinking of the possibilities here that I don't know where to turn, and I would appreciate your prayers tonight. I am hoping that perhaps she told me she'd be sleeping over tonight at a friend's house, but I have racked my brain, and frankly, I just don't remember any conversation like that taking place. (I haven't had a day off in 3 weeks.)
I need you gals badly tonight :(
Prayer BUMP
I am praying and worrying with you. I am sure she is OK, it's probably just a mix up or a change of plans.
Praying that she will return safely very soon, and that perhaps she is just out at a party and will show up safe and unharmed.
Please let us know.
Prayers for her safe return.
Absolutely.
TRY to be calm and think GOOD thoughts.
She sounds like a responsible young lady.
Prayers are with you and her.
.
I used to pull a stunt like this once in a while when I was in my senior year in HS ( many moons ago ) ...My Ma worried too ...So callous of me , but I was young and stupid ...My own daughter just turned 17 on Friday - yikes ! Anyway , I feel confident , judging by what you wrote about her , that she'll show up in the morning showering you with apologies . In the meantime , I'll say a prayer anyway .

Sending prayers right away
Guy prayers up too!
Thank you all for being here at this hour of the night--it's going to be a long one. The officer just shrugged and grinned when I said she was 17, and I wanted to shake him. She KNOWS that 1:00 is her limit on weekends, and that's only if she is with a Young Life organized event. If she's late for any reason at all, she calls me. Apparently, they see this sort of thing all too often, but it just doesn't happen HERE.
Our prayers are for your precious daughter and for you.
She's probably just fine, just ran into a friend or something, but I'll admit I would be worried too! I will pray for her tonight. Please let us know when she comes home safe.
We are here with you, and we are praying with you now.
Father, I lift up Sunshine55's daughter to You. You are God - let us hear Your voice Father, let us listen and do as You have called us to do. You are God; You know where Your children are...
Father, You hear us. Help us to believe. Forgive our unbelief, and lead us to this child. Touch her, and let her feel Your presence. Let her find her way home,Father, and let her be safe.
You are God. We cry out to You, Father, Father, bring our daughter home!
In Jesus Name, we pray it...
May God be with you, comfort you and strengthen you as you wait..May he watch over your daughter, keep her safe and may she return to you soon..
If there is a problem may you be provided with good counsel and wisdom. I pray this is not a matter of crime but of poor judgement while trying to grow up.
White light being sent now. Seventeen is a tough year.
MANY prayers for your daughter, Sunshine55.
Everyone...get to work, PLEASE.
