They will remember that "Fahrenheit 9/11," for all its distortions and lies, was still the only film that actually addressed September 11th and the War on Terror...In the PAST, Hollywood many movies about World War II, Korea, Vietnam, and the Cold War...
Where are TODAY'S counterparts to "Casablanca" and "Patton"?
You got that right... ALL of it.
Politicians don't review and criticize movies at their political conventions. So those in show business have no business making political statements at their award ceremonies.
Our current plans are for ME to dress as "Michael Moore" -- and for TED to dress as "Uncle Sam" --From LAST YEAR'S Academy Awards ceremony:
We Were Soldiers is a well done war flick.
It would be WONDERFUL to see Mel Gibson involved with a film about 9/11, eh?
Hope all goes well. Wish I could be there.
HILARIOUS new "Boomerang" video by AnnaZ about "Thank you, Hollywood" billboard.

I still like your giant FOAM finger idea the best:
(Except that we ought to have WHITE foam, and NO WORDS.)
Thank God for PhotoShop! :o)Now we just need a supplier, and some purple ink...
...and a catchy slogan for the TV cameras, like:
IRAQ: 1
Hollywood: 0
Tarantino invigorated American film making in the 90s. You don't think Reservoir Dogs or Pulp fiction have more intelligence then something like 'Top Gun' or 'Three Men and a Baby' which was the commerical norm just a few years earlier? anything really popular will generate bad imitations. There's no way around it.
OUR BILLBOARD WAS OUTSIDE OF QUANTICO 2 YEARS AGO

Ask them for pricing on white, no imprint.
Great concept!!!
