See above post for some boxes that went out to Mosul and Kirkuk today.
PING!
Found this on my state board. You can get the headlamps at this place for 29 dollars. The ones they need!

Search on Petzl TacTikka. The TacTikka is the one you want, not just the Tikka. The TacTikka comes in camo and has the red light filter/lens. They are on sale for ~$29 if you sign up for their newsletter (you have to give them your info if you order the lights anyway) and the shipping is free if you spend over $50. I ordered two and the total came to $57.52, no tax, free shipping.
This is something that will make our soldiers lives easier and maybe even save some lives.
Just thought about this... If there is interest I would be more then happy to set up a webpage for this if needed. We could purchase a domain name "Operation Lights" or so and put a paypal button on it with the appropriate info.
That way people can donate to you via Credit Cards etc..
Troops could contact us directly for lights as well...
Let me know...

We just got an email from MI at Kirkuk, thanking us for the "really nice box" that just came. Our contact will be handing out the items at an upcoming meeting.

Our troops are true heroes, not the pro athletes who merely play games for huge amounts of money, not the Hollywood celebrities who mock our values, nor the wealthy New Yorkers who happened to have a relative killed during 9/11. No matter how we feel about the war in Iraq, our troops deserve our support.
Thanks for the ping, mam.
God Bless America.

The Cell Phones for Soldiers program was started in April of 2004 by thirteen year old Brittany Bergquist and her twelve year old brother Robbie of Norwell, Massachusetts. After hearing a news report about a local soldier who ran up a massive phone bill calling home from Iraq, they decided they wanted to do something to help. Brittany and Robbie donated their piggy bank money, collected snack money from their friends at school, and with $21.00, they went to the bank to open an account. The South Shore Savings Bank of Hanover, Massachusetts donated $500.00 to help them get started. Their goal is to help our soldiers serving overseas call home. They hope to provide as many soldiers as possible with prepaid calling cards for now, with an ultimate goal of providing banks of satellite phones, video phones and VOIP communications. Through generous donations and the recycling of used cell phones from drop-off sites across the country, they have already distributed thousands of calling cards to soldiers in Iraq, Kuwait, Afghanistan, and elsewhere.
Patty, do you have room on your mailing list for one more? There's a local lady I know who is in Afghanistan. They are desperate for hard candy, and I'm sending some, but I thought I'd give you a ring too.
Good job, Patricia. Send us some names of deployed troops and I'll put our schoolkids to work. They love to send stuff to the troops!

Therefore, I suggest buying some J.R. Cigar Alternative Rothchild "Bullys". A very nice robusto - 4.5" X 52 ring gauge. (52/64") . one of my personal favorites and ONLY $14.00 for a pack of 20. An excellent value for your cigar buyin'/Marine smilin'/terrorist killin' dollar.
That's 1-800-JRCIGAR
