President Bush nominated John Negroponte today to be the new Director of National Intelligence. Negroponte is the former ambassador to Iraq. The First Couple also hosted Paul Rusesabagina and his wife, Tatiana. Mr. Rusesabagina sheltered refugees in a Rwandan hotel where he worked as a manager, and was the subject of the movie, 'Hotel Rwanda'. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!
I am fine thanks visited mum today she still has a nasty cough but seems OK in herself she ate her supper OK so not too concerned about her.
I have day off work tomorrow dad has his monthly hospital appointment and I am travelling with him so do not have to be up until mid morning so I can stay around for an hour or so.
Keep positive thinking you have your best days ahead of you
My day was okay. Yours?
Negroponte is kind of a pleasant-looking man. Very tall, several inches taller than W. He reminds me a little of Ahmed Chalabi, but less oily looking. I wonder if he has some middle eastern heritage.
Hi--how's the mouth?
There's a 24 forum????
Just got hooked this year. I don't want to see spoilers though.
THANKS for the Dose tonight!
I started to say "hi" to everyone individually, but my computer is really, really slow today, so let's make it a group "hello!"
Hope everyone had a nice day. It was sunny and crisp here today. Still not quite spring but getting closer every day.
Yeah, Fox has an official site with a forum. Have you been on our weekly 24 thread? We comment live during the show each week.
I am :) I even made dinner tonight (something which makes my mother happy but I rarely do it). And I was happy to wake up to the announcement of President Bush's nominee for Director of National Intelligence, though probably as surprised as quite a few other people seemed to be.
The VP at CPAC today
FRmail to you...lots of interesting things tonight...
Great! Is there a ping list? Can I get on it?
I can't talk to the DP about it...he won't watch. Well, I talk to him anyway, but he doesn't answer.
Our 'visionary' president conducted an AWESOME press conference today . . . C-Span will re-broadcast the event at 1:05 AM (EST) and again at 6:23 AM (EST).
I just returned home from a college fair and am more exhausted tonight than I was last night (I didn't think that humanly possible) . . . I'm off to bed . . . Night all!
It's nice to have a day off of work. I think my managers weren't sure how long my recovery would take so after I called in sick Wednesday (did I mention I was sick?), I wasn't scheduled again until Saturday. Lots of recovery time. It's a good thing too, I'm still kinda lightheaded. Probably from the not eating for two days. On the bright side, it was a good diet. I lost 8 pounds. I do that every time I get sick and then I gain it right back as soon as I start eating. I have the worst immune system...I catch anything and working at a grocery store does not help.
Good night prayers for you and your family
Hello again
Dr. Deb, with all you have on your plate, you still took time to tell us about the C-span thing. I'm gonna tape it.
Thanks.
How are things going with your brother and mother?
Hi!
Long time no see ;-)
What a great picture of the VP!! He looks pretty happy. :)
WOW...lots of info there...Im so confused....why is Maryanne out of CTU?...
Nice picture. Maybe it's just the camera angle, but his face looks thinner than it's been for a while.
I hear you, RWP!
This was outside our house a few hours ago! GORGEOUS!!!
