Never respond to a personal attack with a personal atteck, never allow yourself to be taken off topic. Always respond as you would if having a face to face conservation. Never argue with a fool, blow them off and respnd to others interested in a real exchange of ideas.

I don't respond to personal attacks, I've stopped asking questions because I don't get responses, I get attacked. The immigrations posters need to look in the mirror, because they are only distancing themselves from the everyday average poster who might be on their side. I was once ridiculed because I live in Wisconsin and don't fully appreciate the immigration issue. I'll tell you, our local little paper posts a list of crimes, drunk driving, robbery, etc and 90% of those crimes are perpetrated by people with Hispanic names, here legally or illegally. Not to mention we are only a couple hundred miles away from Canada. It frosts me that some posters on FR are so closed, so set in their ways, so ignorant to listening to others, I just avoid them. I'm sure there are more like me out there. Sean was right, we eat our own.
