Dean: New York GOP Chairman Must Apologize or Resign Over Controversial Remark By Marc Humbert Associated Press Writer
ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - Howard Dean, the new chairman of the Democratic National Committee, called on the head of New York's Republican Party to apologize or resign Wednesday over remarks linking the Democrats to a civil rights lawyer convicted of aiding terrorists.
Dean called Stephen Minarik's comments offensive, and said, "The American people deserve better than this type of political character assassination."
On Monday, Minarik said that Dean's election shows that "the Democrats simply have refused to learn the lessons of the past two election cycles, and now they can be accurately called the party of Barbara Boxer, Lynne Stewart and Howard Dean."

Republican Chairman to Dean------Go Sheit in your hat.
This is funny stuff! Howie is gonna keep us laughing for the next four years.
Minarik SHOULD resign...Just as soon as Dean names ONE national or state-wide elected Democrat official who has spoken out against Lynne Stewart.
I know Steve personally. I sincerely doubt Steve will do much more than flip the bird at Dean, perhaps even by saying something even more offensive to Democrats.
Any bets on who will self-immolate first -- Dr. FrankenDean or Senator McQueeg?? They are both teetering on the edge and have been for a long time! Paging their biggest fan, Chrissie Matthews, to cover the event!
1. Dean is delusional if he thinks that he new position gives him authority over the GOP.
2. It would be interesting to look at Lynn Stewart's past campaign contributions. All we need is the Democratic Party's permission, right?
3. Lynn Stewart did an illegal thing. Boxer and Dean want to make it legal to do what she did. What is the difference?
>> ["]Republican["] Gov. George Pataki scolded Minarik on Tuesday, saying his remark was not "within the realm of appropriate political discourse." <<
Gov. Pataxi needs to shut up. I can't wait until he is out of office. He has gone to the left of even Mario Cuomo.
>> From the man who said, "I hate Republicans and everything they stand for." <<
You mean Pataki or Dean. It would be true of both of them.
Or go OpenSecrets.org
ROTF!!!!
LOVE IT! LOL
Pataki is basically a Democrat who found it advantageous to run as a Republican.
and of course @ss hole dean has never said thing that he should apologize for...
i wish this guy and kerry for just one week stfu...
nikos
I think the problem with Howard is that he has a bad case of "tight underwear." Just another loser in the peanut gallery.
Name one so called MAIN Stream Right Wing Media
personality that has asked,
in 2005,
these questions?
"Asked Kerry when he will sign Form 180.
Or why Kerry is still in the US Senate.
This is in violation of
U.S. Constitution Amendment 14 Sec 3
Or when Kerry will set the record straight
on his false testimony in April 71"
BUT he's still attacking President Bush in '05

>>>I have but one question. When in the Hell are the Republicans going to find their back bone?<<<
Damn good question Greg! I'm thinking they need a testosterone boost first then a spine transplant! I'm sick of repubs bowing down to this BS!
