There are no "bad" Freepers, even ones that get zotted serve a purpose. FreeRepublic is a thinking machine that considers all angles of a problem, hashing and rehashing ideas until the good stuff eventually pops out.

I guarantee if Sean's reading skills aren't high enough to follow some of the debates here, I bet his staff and listeners get a lot more meat here than from Hannity himself.

You know damn well that nearly all taken down during the purge over immigration that took place here recently had been here a long time.

And they all damn well deserved to be taken down. Jim had enough of their Bush-bashing and their constant diatribes.

But, there are others, like ALIPAC, who were newbies with very questionable backgrounds.

This is not the thread to argue over that, however. The fact is, the house was cleaned.

I just logged on for a second and only read a handfull of responses, but based on the remarks I've seen, it appears that Sean needs to spend more time on FreeRepublic before he makes rash statements about its composition.

I would like to see him identify a more highly regulated and closely monitored website that still protects individualism and freedom of thought, as long as those thoughts are expressed in a socially acceptable manner. That does not mean that Freepers are restricted from expressing exasperation or sarcasm.

I won't comment further because I don't know what other invectives Sean aimed at FreeRepublic, nor have I read enough responses from those who frequent this website whose opinions I hold in the highest regard.

I don't watch Sean anymore and haven't for a very long time. He is a substandard interviewer at best, in my opinion. When a competent interviewer would follow-up on a comment made by a guest, Sean has that, "hurry and answer so I can ask the next question I have written down" look in his eyes. I often wondered if he even listens to his guest's answers because often he has been given an opening large enough to drive his ego through, but has failed to take advantage of the opportunity to call the guest to task.

I have been reading a preponderance of articles recently demeaning the internet and those who take the time to properly research allegations that members of the "professional journalist camp" are too lazy, unwilling or unable to verify, although they are more than willing to make those allegations.

The MSM has a watchdog and they don't like it.

I found FreeRepublic through Drudge just when the Monica thing broke. It seemed that many of the posters were "in the loop" so to speak, which was quite exciting.

My Sunday routine after church is to check the Sunday talk show thread. It takes a long time to wade through all the comments for the "meat". This is not to say I don't appreciate the humor that Freepers provide.

Ninth, if we are "fringe", why does he consistently give mouth time to the Rangels and Lanny Davis's of this country. If they are not leftist fringies, I don't know who is. These propagandists become more "well-known" and humanized, thanks to Sean and his proclivity for booking questionable guests. Not only that, he calls them his dear friends, kisses their fannies, and invites them back again....and again....and again.
