You'd need pretty thick beer goggles for her (she's on the right; not to mention that she could prolly kick your butt) I've seen worse on Friday nights in nightclubs...

Is there any evidence that Europeans today carry some Neanderthal genes?Isn't that questioning the obvious?

"Dr. Erik Trinkaus, a Neanderthal expert at Washington University in St. Louis, who was not at the meeting, contends that the 24,500-year-old skeleton of a young boy found in Portugal appeared to be a Neanderthal-Homo sapiens hybrid. The interpretation has so far been viewed with skepticism. "Here he is:

Stop posting that picture of my wife on the internet, dammit.
And yes, I am a red-headed stepchild.

The Neandertal Enigma
by James Shreeve
Frayer's own reading of the record reveals a number of overlooked traits that clearly and specifically link the Neandertals to the Cro-Magnons. One such trait is the shape of the opening of the nerve canal in the lower jaw, a spot where dentists often give a pain-blocking injection. In many Neandertal, the upper portion of the opening is covered by a broad bony ridge, a curious feature also carried by a significant number of Cro-Magnons. But none of the alleged 'ancestors of us all' fossils from Africa have it, and it is extremely rare in modern people outside Europe." [pp 126-127]

excellent composition. You missed a few links - Crohn's, for instance.

That injection, BTW, does not work. Try a root canal sans anesthetics.

3.The bacterial strains might be available in nature, but due to our sterile diet, we don't get it in large amounts enough.
I take that back. The newest treatment for Crohn's is pig worms.
Eat them. Live.
Completely laking in the modern diet.

That is an EXCELLENT piece of work.
I wanted to thru it with a checklist - yes, yes, no, yes, not quite, yes...
I guess we are all different.
Ebenso, extremely well done.

Redheads 'Are Neanderthals' I represent that remark, LOL.
Actually not.
I'm glad I'm an American mutt from the immigrant melting pot (ask me to roll over, then scratch my belly, my paws won't reach).
I loved the Jean Auel "Clan of the Cave Bear" series. Wouldn't mind if I had some Neanderthal genetic material in me, they seemed like tough MF's.
To: Pharmboy
Homo sapiens were God's second try as the Neanderthals were not exactly what he had in mind.
Smile, it makes people wonder what you are thinking.

Stop posting that picture of my wife on the internet, dammit. My red-headed wife (and a red-headed friend of ours) shares a lot of features with that kid. She kind of gets annoyed when I point that out, but I think this kid is cute.

Based on "analysis of the maternally inherited mitochondrial DNA", Neanderthal man agreed with you (given a choice). And there was no beer. So we are all descended from Cro-Magnon females.
