They may well have pushed too far- I think more people are wising up to the simple fact that this is a mostly-preventable disease, and that the vast fortunes being expended on a "cure" might be better-spent on miseries common to all of us- like cancer and diabetes, for example.

The time is way, way past to start taking people who are H.I.V. positive and placing them into quarantine, particularly those with these newly-discovered strains of the virus. A huge reason why I'm against coming up with a cure for this is that as a virus, this damn thing will adapt to attempts kill it and mutate, as witnessed by this new strain which is resistent to the "cocktail" which had saved obtaining the virus from being a death sentence. One possibility of mutation is that this could become an airborne virus, or one that could be transmitted through contact less invasive then swapping bodily fluids.

We need to get these sodomites to stop engaging in the reckless behavior that's causing the spread of this horrible disease. If we had quarantined those with H.I.V. back in the early 1980s, we could've greatly reduced its spread and saved hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of lives. Absolutely sickening what the sodomite lobby has been able to do to basic health care/disease prevention in our society. Of course, the gutless bastards in government have helped that along.

The 15% of heteros that got the virus are most likely sluts of either the male or female persuassion.

That hundreds of men thing caught my eye as well. Good God. For fear of being banned I will refrain from further comment.

So far as I know, some of the "cliches about homosexuals" are that they have unprotected homosexual sex with lots of partners, and that they spread AIDS as a result.

Those "cliches" sure are killing a lot of people.

Sodomy is so dangerous that the average age at death for sodomites before AIDS was 39. The average age at death now (last # I've read) is 39. With new strain it will probably decline.

Not my quote. I was quoting someone else.

He in turn, put the quote marks around the term "Cliches about homosexuals" Indicating that he didn't believe it.

Read the whole thing in context.

I disagree with the author's conclusions. In theory, eveyone is at risk since one doesn't truly know whether or not their partner is monogamous.

You are conflating possibility with probability.

Lesbians contract HIV at about the same rate as the general population, or so I have read.

Yes they do. Perhaps just a bit higher, as half of them are "bi". Also, a lot of lesbians interrupt their cycles with birth controlling drugs, are more prone to cancers due to having interrupted these cycles and to deviating from natures course, (breastfeeding, giving birth, endorphins released during "normal" relations with a man, not to mention foreign objects and such being introduced which females are much more sensitive to.

It's not nice to fool Mother Nature!!!

During the turn of the century, the artists who engaged in underground sex died from syphillis and TB. Again the behavior includes insatiable lust which overcomes all restraints of being responsible. Part of gay sex is the desire to escape and get high. Many of the prominent gay people of the past also engaged in the usage of opium and cocaine in conjunction with their sexual activity. All we see today is nothing new. Being gay in the past and present means to engage in high risk activity no different from a person who chooses to smoke like a chimmney. Except one form of behavior is being introduced to our kids in school and the other is banned.

It has nothing to do with AIDS. This testing is for a National DNA database.
